How easy was it for you to plan so that you could have a decent window for delivery. And yes I know, you can't predict completely, blah blah blah, but I need to have a kid somewhere in the months of March-June.
And given DH's ultimatum that he announced at dinner, with the IL's, of 2 years and we're having a kid (um gee thanks?) I guess I need to figure out when to get this IUD out and start charting.
Oh yes, it was, fun times.
Re: If you charted for TTC
You can try all you want but there is no guarantee. Just to show you, my due date is the day before I was trying to avoid.
You also never know how long it will take your body to readjust from the IUD. It could be a month, it could be a year.

I think it would depend on how your body reacts after you IUD is removed.
We started trying in February figuring it would take at least 6 months to get pregnant, even with my charting. Granted my charts were right on and we got it done in the first shot.

Well I've always been regular and going from BCP to the IUD I went right back to my pre-BCP cycle, although now I'm onto the few period part of the IUD.
I'm more worried about only having one ovary although my doctor isn't.
I just wish DH hadn't all of a sudden blurted out this ultimatum. I can't even deal with confronting him about it right now.

Well I don't blame you being upset with Jerry about this.
Can I ask why you want to deliver between those months? If you don't want to share that's fine.
All I knew was I didn't want to be horribly pregnant in the summer months and I felt huge when I was pregnant even though I was still months away from delivering. I'd start a year before you want to deliver and have fun trying

Mostly b/c 4 out of 5 of BIL's kids have birthdays in Aug, Sept or Oct. One is in Jan. I would rather have ours on the other side of the year so there are no issues.
It's bad enough that my birthday is always forgotten b/c of the holidays, I don't want to do that to my child and have to deal with them having one big family party lumped in with their cousins.

I'm hoping if I have a window, then I'll fall somewhere within the months.
Normally I wouldn't care, but OMG DH's family is so lazy, so anything they can do to make it easier for themselves the better and selfishly I don't want to necessarily have my kid in that mix.

My planning with TTC has completely flown out the window. I've been charting for 16 months now, have a completely regular cycle, ovulate normally, and we're still trying. In the beginning, I really wanted to avoid being in the third trimester in the hot summer months, but.. well, now I'd settle for any time of the year.
Hope it works out for you, but I wouldn't stress out too much about it.

I would actually love to hear them! A friend and I were talking about it tonight and if I, hopefully, get pregnant in the next few months, I'm going to be creeping in to the summer due date range. Do share!

I'll give you an advantage of being pregnant in the summer. When your feet are so effing swollen that you can't fit in your shoes anymore, it's great being able to wear flip flops or go around barefoot. There's no way I would have been able to do that in winter. I would have to buy a whole new shoe wardrobe for shoes that I would only be able to wear for a couple of months.
Meh, I'm union, I figure I'll just walk around in various neon shades of crocs.
KIDDING!

The shoes thing is definitely an advantage.
The clothes tend to be easier because you can live in sundresses, and you can try to buy some that fit you afterwards.
Yes being in a bathing suit pregnant is not ideal but at least you do not care about how you look as much because you have an excuse.
I would rather be pregnant and deliver at the end of swimsuit season and have the whole fall, winter and spring to get back into shape for the next one. I would hate to have a baby in the spring knowing I have to get in a bathing suit that soon afterwards.

I'll add to this list.
The fruit variety. Around here there isn't a huge fruit selection in the fall and winter (mainly apples, oranges, and pears) but come spring and summer there are a ton of berries, grapes, peaches, plums, apricots, melons... It makes finding healthier snacks easier.
ETA: no worries about slipping/falling on ice or snow (if it snows where you live).
LOL, guys I already look like a beached whale in a swimsuit, I don't think pregnancy/post pregnancy will change that!
We get some snow, although I would prefer to move even further south and not get any!

I wore flip flops in November when it was freaking cold out because I was so swollen.
