Family from Mexico - Where to take her?
We have a family member from Mexico staying until this Wednesday... she's 11 years old.
Trying to think of some things I can take her to go see/to do... her English is very limited.
If you have any ideas for things to do in the North DFW area... please let me know!
Thanks
Re: Family from Mexico - Where to take her?
Just some random things I thought of...
Water park. Is there a Hawaiian Falls near you?
Zoo
American Girl store
Indoor inflatable jumping place
With All the Trimmings
Just do it!
Any ideas on things that may show her a little American culture?
For example in Mexico they took me to their biggest ferrias which are giant fairs for shopping and entertainment.
That just made me remember Gaylord... but then again Gaylord is mostly amusing around the Holidays?
We have a pool so we go swimming just about every day. The indoor inflatable place is a thought!
I highly recommend the Dallas World Aquarium in West End. It is by far the best aquarium I've ever been to! Plus it is indoors which is a major plus in this heat!
The Science museum in Fair Park is also pretty neat.

We had family in from Switzerland last year, they were all adults, but I think some of the things could work for a kid as well.
We took them to the aquarium, it's so awesome. We also went to Fort Worth to the Stockyards for a Texas/Western experience. We went to a hockey game as well.
