which formula do you use? The nurse at our pedi's office said that enfamil and similac are the same thing. she said its like drinking hood milk and garelick farms milk. Which do you use. We used similac with dd #1when i switched from bf'ing to formula. I know that there was a recall back in nov on the similac.

they're similar, but not the same. I get really irked when people say that, and for no good reason really.
All formulas need to meet the same requirements for nutritional value, so in *that* respect, they're the same - just like good start & all the store brands are the same too.
Similac is the only baby formula on the market (name or store brand) that does not contain palm oil. I used similac w/J and we us it during hospital stays with N, but I use target brand for N at home.
At first we had one on similac and one on enfamil because that's what they had gotten at the hospital. We eventually switched to similac for the first couple of months after 3 months we switched to Sam's club brand.
