Droid or iPhone?

I have a month left before I can replace my Suckberry. Debating what's next, Droid or iPhone. If you have either, can you please tell me what version you have and what you like/dislike about it?

Thanks!

Happy mom to two sweet, silly boys: Cohen age 4, AJ age 2.

Re: Droid or iPhone?

  • I have the Droid and DH has the iPhone.  I prefer the iPhone.  Better screen, easier to type on, easier to access apps.  Driod is okay, just would prefer an iPhone it I did it again.

  • I have a HTC Droid Incredable, I like OK, I wish it were bigger, once I can upgrade I'll be upgrading to an iPhone. Just my opinion
  • I'd talk to your provider about the differences.  I have the droid and was going to switch to the iphone but decided against it after talking to verizon and googling the differences.  A couple things I remember from researching-

droid has the ability to customize the screens/layout/etc while the iphone doesnt.

if the iphone battery dies you have to replace your whole phone; if the battery dies on the droid you buy a new battery.

you pay for a lot of apps on the iphone marketplace while tons of apps on the droid are free.

basically, it really just depends on how you use your phone.

  • DH & I both have the HTC Evo, and I'll admit that for the first time in a LONG time, I REALLY like my phone!  I was never all that fond of the Blackberry or Palm Pre (last two phones I had), so I'm almost surprising myself by not finding lots of things I don't like about this phone.  It's got so many different ways to personalize it, great access to apps, good quality camera, nice big screen, good signal most anywhere I've been (so far), and will have even greater speed when 4G finally goes into effect around here -- which is supposed to be "soon"... It even has a kickstand -- woo hoo, just what every phone needs!  ;)

Maybe we'll have to meet for drinks, park playdate, or something, and you can try it out... :)

  • We both have the iphone - love them. Adam had the droid and "upgraded" to the iphone, he likes it a lot more.  Just more user-friendly, most fun apps, etc.

  • We actually just went through this debate and finally upgraded on Sunday...we went with the iphones!! And love them!  They are super easy to use, tons of apps, very user friendly.  I am very happy with our decision!
