how do i go about refinancing my home? do you know any lenders in the area that you would recommend? our mortgage is currently with Bank of America. i'd like to work with someone that is trustworthy and will provide me with accurate information.
Re: refinancing home
We're in Texas, so the options are a little different. We ended up calling around to see what rates different companies were offering. We ended up going with a local credit union.
We just bought our home, and went with Home Services Lending (subsidiary of Wells Fargo) - I can't say enough great things about them. When we were looking for a lender, our real estate agent told us this guy's rates wouldn't get beat, and he wasn't lying. We got it for .25% less than three other quotes we got (somehow). On top of that, he called us just about every day during the entire process, just to update us on everything, which meant a lot to us.
PM me if you'd like his info.
We refinanced with Veridian as well. Their rates were lowest we could find and we were happy with the service and process.
With the four home financing transactions I've been involved in (two purchases and two refinances), credit unions have always offered the lowest rates.
