Re: Philly Nest Check In
Going to the Phillies game tonight! Hope they play like they did yesterday!
Still have summer vacation to look forward to in August. I'm counting down the days and it can't get here quick enough.
My little nuggets
My sister's wedding is on Saturday!
And...I'm afraid to jinx it, but...we got an offer on our house. Finally. Praying this will work out. But the woman wants to close on August 23rd, and that's a sticking point for her! Eek!
Happy early birthday!
I should be having a baby sometime in the next week. If not on my own than via induction. (I'm hoping to avoid the induction route but at this point I'll take what I can get!)
Hi Tiana!
Went in for a regular appointment Monday night and ending up getting admitted. Baby JRM has a bit of an irregular heartbeat. The whole experience was pretty scary, though I have absolutely nothing bad to say about Abington (I hope our birth experience goes as smoothly) nor CHOP (had to go to fetal heart center to get checked out). They recommended giving up the teeny bit of caffeine I have so I'm trying to adhere.
Other than that, I'm grappling with the fact that now I have accepted I'm pregnant, this kid has to come out. And he needs a lot of stuff and we are totally behind the 8-ball.
JRM, are you home now? How are you feeling?
Our invitations are in, my shower date is set, and it appears that I will actually be getting married on Nov 19. Weird.
This weekend we're finally getting our engagement photos taken, and then going to the wild and crazy town of Binghamton, NY for the weekend to visit FI's family.

congrats!!!! do you have a new place picked out?!
Oh noes JRM! Hope both of you are alright!
I have also now accepted I'm pregnant (I still wonder where this belly came from every time I look in the mirror) and am starting to mildly panic because we still have to clean out and paint the office (which will become the nursery) and I haven't even read up on anything I'm supposed to register for. Not to mention that I still haven't sent in my preadmission paperwork to the hospital, have yet to register for childbirth classes and know nothing about breast feeding and I haven't done nearly enough reading on cloth diapers. December is coming way too fast.

Oh, JRM, that is scary! Hope everything is going okay now that you gave up the caff.
As for me, I just finished painting one of our spare bedrooms and today I will start sanding and re-staining DH's childhood bedroom furniture to go in that room. It is really beat up, but it's solid wood so I'm hoping I can salvage it. I bought a power sander yesterday - that was exciting!
I am also getting very exited for my vacation to WA state in a few weeks. My MIL rented a house for us (10 adults, 12 kids - eek!). We will be there for the 1-yr anni of my BIL's death...so I'm sure there will be some somber moments mixed in. We will be pretty busy, so I think that will be good. I am sooooo excited to sit on this porch and watch the sunset over the harbor:
I am looking forward to spending a weekday with several of my college girlfriends. We are all spread out now (Phila burbs, LA) and all of them (except me) have children or are expecting. It will be nice, since I haven't seen some of them for a year or two.
After a quieter July, August racing ramps up again. On Sunday, I was surprised to find out that I qualified for the National Trail Racing Championship in September. Mr erbur and I will be going to Ogden, Utah in late Sept to Snowbasin (they held some of the skiing events from the SLC Olympics there). It's no surprise, but I have already located a brewery near the race site.
September is jam packed! We have our wedding anniversary, then my cousin's destination wedding in Bald Head Island, College homecoming/reunion, then Utah. My summer excitement won't end until October!

No, because we've had the house on the market for so long with little/no activity, so we haven't wanted to fall in love with a place. We're going to start looking ASAP, but we'll probably have to move in with the ILs for a few weeks. Not ideal, but not the end of the world.
I am scrambling to get all of the necessary things done that one must do to prepare for a child (see child care/pedi post), as well as roboclean the apartment, get my spot in the childcare class, attempt to look somewhat decent at my shower in a few weeks, etc.
Seems that there is so much to do with such little time. How do I only have 10.5 weeks left?
Jen-
I was always told not to worry-you'll wake up if you shouldn't be sleeping on your back-it's more likely that you would get lightheaded-the baby is fine!
JRM-hope everything is ok, glad you're home!
Beagle-Nov 19 is my bday!
I have nothing. Work is kicking my ass. My parents are coming to visit Friday for 10 days and DH and I are going to Vegas Sunday-Tuesday. Without Max. Exciting. Scary!
Yeah, we're home and we're fine. Day 1 without caffeine kinda blows.
Jen, e-mail me. I wasn't aware there was preadmission paper work? This step was sorta taken care of for me when they pulled off my jewelry, hooked up an IV, slapped on a wristband and gave MrJRM the paperwork to complete. On the bright side, I don't think we need the hospital tour anymore (though we're signed up next week if you want to join us).
I like reading about everyone's vacation plans. Instead I should be picking out baby paraphernalia.
Hi everyone!
With 7 weeks left the baby furniture is in boxes in the spare room and the nursery hasn't even been touched. Not even the paint color picked. DH is on a special mission over the next week so I am hoping that this status may change soon.
Other than that, trying to enjoy the summer through the sweltering heat.
Alright now Baby JRM, not cool to scare your parents!
I'm glad you've come to terms with being preggo, and now that you've gotten used to that, you'll have to totally change up and get used to being a mom! Its never ending . . . .
I would also like to add that we went to Crazy Susan's Cookies in OCNJ on Sunday - the store featured in the Tough Cookies show in Food Network - and the cookies were sooooooo good.
I recommend the butterscotch and white chocolate macadamia.
>>I still wonder where this belly came from every time I look in the mirror<<
Amen. I have a very warped view of myself that I only have a little belly, but then I look in the mirror and it looks like I'm smuggling a basketball under there.
We haven't gotten much more done to the nursery except paint, refinish the closet and add the molding to the floorboards. This weekend I am hoping to get my dresser moved out of there and into our bedroom and JEGs' dresser moved into the guest room so I can use it at storage for my crafts.
I had my first shower last Sunday! Friends and family were super generous and we got the travel system as well as lot of other important items. Soooo much clothing! I spent a good hour on Monday folding the clothes and organizing them into the closet, only to remember I have to wash them first. D'oh. I blame it on baby brain.
I know I have 9 weeks left, but good lord I am ready to pop this baby out. I am so over being pregnant.
Happy Birthday Lachute!
Hello everyone
the summer has been great (but busy) we are still going to the shore every weekend, which is awesome but REALLY EXHAUSTING with 2 lo's. we are still working on the house from hell...and I am a nervous wreck, waiting test results for a job I took a test for 2 weeks ago...should be here anyday...fingers crossed! it was a HUGE step for me to take but I have made the decision to get out of here!
I watched an episode of this the other night - I definitely want to go there!
so many new babies to come!
also heading to the phils game tonight with the hubby, have an over night stay in August in AC and planning a trip to Mexico in November. all of which are with no kids and is greatly needed.
JD is kicking my asss, the dude just stopped listening, sleeping, eating. everything is No along with a battle or a tantrum, this then causes fights wth thing 1 and not much attention for thing 3, DH is working longer hours to make up for me being home and i feel like he doesn't get it sometimes.... im pooped and feel like mom failure

JRM, scary, but glad everything is ok. Take care of yourself
Jess, that's great news on the house Good luck in your search
Tracy, that house looks wonderful, enjoy your vacation
I got nothing (as usual) Just a couple of days down in NWW next month.
We are putting some final touches on our house for the work we wanted to do now. All that's left now are some odds and ends- some touching up paint, a few pieces of trim that need to go up and a new bedroom set and TV for the living room. We had a new living room set and dining room set delivered two weeks ago, so it's nice to have actual nice furniture as opposed to our beat up Ikea stuff from our apartment that was accented nicely with tools.
No vacation plans here- yet. We are going to hopefully squeeze something in near our anniversary in September. Our last vacation was our honeymoon almost two years ago, and I really just want to sit on a beach and do nothing for a few days.
You are fine. Doctor told me your body will let you know when it doesn't want you laying on your back anymore. It will be just so uncomfortable. It definitely got to a point with me they only way I was remotely comfortable was left side with strategically placed pillow. My body definitely let me know.

I definitely have plenty of summer left. Our summer vacation is still coming up later in August. I am counting down the days, hours, and minutes.
And I have not been down the shore this summer yet. It's either been too busy, or too hot, or not worth the effort. Pretty sad.
However, I am trying to figure out how to get the three of us, big stroller, pack n play, sheets, towels, clothes, toys, beach chairs, umbrella, diapers, travel high chair, etc down to Rehoboth in an Altima. I just don't see it happening. We may have to take two cars down, which is ridiculous. Why do kids need so much stuff??
Since it seems to be a theme, went to the Phillies game last night. Amazing! Seriously crazy game.
JRM- I'm so glad you and little JRM are okay. Scary.
