Anyone living on Ft Meade? Thoughts about it? Are there enough things to do close by?
Re: Ft Meade moms?
I don't live on Ft. Meade, but I do live close and have base access. Ft. Meade is very nice actually. They have done a lot of building for BRAC the last few years. The commissary is very nice, it's actually always been big but they are in the process of redoing one section at a time and every time I go in it's nicer then before.
I don't know what your definition of things to do is, but it's very close to Columbia and not a bad drive to DC or Baltimore, which is one of the reasons we live in the area. For "mom" stuff I'm not going to be a good judge as my baby is 2 months and I'll be going back to work full time anyway, but I always see a lot of moms around the Columbia mall, so there must be something going on around there. Also, the Maryland City library usually has a kid day one day a week in the mornings.
Hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions.
