Apparently, I'm going to Israel for a month!
Has anyone ever been there or know much about the culture/do's/don't's?
Hubby
has to go work there for a month, and I'm going with him... so I will
be in a hotel in Tel Aviv most of the day during week days by myself.
I'm trying to see if I can find out where/what I can do by myself safely
that are interesting in the area (especially for photography).
We will go see all the big stuff on weekends... pyramids, dead sea, etc.
Anyone have any experiences there or info?

Never been!
What a crazy opportunity! Have fun!!!
Can't wait to meet my baby boy!
Thanks ladies!
I'm crazy excited... DH is not so much. LOL
I'm only finding bits and pieces of information online about anything there. I guess I'll just be talking to the hotel people once we're there and seeing what I can expect.
This. They helped a lot with DC.

Thanks! From everything I've read and heard, they love Americans there, and like to talk to you to practice English. Also apparently women are very respected there, so there's little to worry about as far as being harassed or anything.
I'm way excited! I already have a list of things that I want to go do and see. I actually ended up having a friend of a friend that has lived in Jeruselum for 30 years now as well, and she and I have been talking for a few days. She seems like she will be really fun to hang out with, and she loves having a reason to go into Tel Aviv and showing people around, so I have a bit of a personal guide, which is awesome!
I think it's a huge opportunity, especially from a photography standpoint, so I'm thrilled to have all the time to wander around with my camera!
