My husband and I are on the hunt for the best pizza in Boston. He deems himself a pizza purist and only eats plain cheese but I love fun toppings. Since we moved back we have tried Emma's in Kendall square which I loved but H had a hard time calling it pizza because the crust was so thin we also had Upper Crust pizza the other day and again I liked it but he wasn't thrilled. He's a native New Yorker and insanely picky.
What's your favorite? We live in East Cambridge but we are certainly willing to travel for great pizza.
Re: Best Pizza in Boston
My husband will tell you Santarpio's in East Boston. I had it once, and I thought it was ok, but he swears it was just an off day for them. And I've heard plenty of other people rave about it, so I'd definitely suggest you give it a shot if you can get over there.
I like L Street in South Boston, too.
Michael Symon held a Food Feud between Santarpoi's and Regina's and I think Regina's won.
I believe the original is in the North End but there are plenty of other locations now.
Yeah, we went to the original Regina's once, and I liked it better than Santarpio's, too. And didn't they (Regina's) just take over the old Sports Depot in Allston?
I love Pinocchio's too, Rock. I go there for lunch at least once a week, though I usually get a sub. But their tomato basil is to die for.
Oggi in the Holyoke Center in Harvard Square has good pizza, too.
