Name three good things going on in your life right now.
My favorite place on earth: The Amargosa Valley.

Re: Good Things Thursday.
1. The weekend is coming and I plan on baking bread and working on my new-to-me desk and sleeping in.
2. The rest of my week is neatly laid out for me. It's busy, but it's nice to know what I'll be doing when I get into work.
3. A quote for dual-paned windows came in far below what we expected yesterday -- and far below what Mr. sexist, non-local Home Depot man said. (Screw you, Home Depot man). We're having another local company out today. I think we'll probably be able to do half the windows this year and half next year.
1. My husband has been hired for a semi-permanent on-call sort of position, which is paying twice what he used to earn. The unreliability of it is sort of lame, but I am feeling so glad that he is finally working again.
2. The dresser I painted is finally done drying so I get to haul that inside today and finally start unpacking my clothing from this last move.
3. I have been considering taking some time off after I get my BA instead of going right into the credential program, and even though I haven't made my mind up yet, the fact that I have other options is letting my breathe easier.
1. I have lots of mini vacations and trips to look forward to for the rest of the year.
2. DH and I are in a really good place.
3. Our business is really beginning to flourish. It feels like the years of hard work are going to start paying off soon.
1. I interviewed yesterday for a teaching job that would be perfect for me and for my schedule. I'm supposed to hear back in the next couple of days. I guess it's not really a good thing yet, but it's not a bad thing yet either.
2. I've been singing a little bit every day, trying to get my chops back in time for the beginning of grad school and fall auditions. It's been tough and pretty frustrating, but I've definitely been making progress.
3. I saw my male BFF yesterday for like half an hour and we had a really good time just talking and joking around and catching up. He apologized for being hugely dramatic about us not being as close since the wedding, and I feel more like he actually understands my side of things as well.

1. Lots of visitors in the next two months! Which means lots of fun times in NYC.
2. Trying to get KU means you get to have lots of fun.
3. My trip to CA in Sept. I can't wait to give my nephew a giant squeeze.
4. I finished a book last weekend that has really stuck with me. Has anyone else read The Happiness Project? It got my wheels turning about what else I can do to make me more fulfilled.
1) closing on our house tomorrow (barring any major catastrophe)
2) getting the keys to our new house
3) moving into said new house (and long to do list that goes with moving!)
It's been a pretty crappy couple of weeks so I'll see what I can come up with!
1) I've been good at bringing my lunch to work this week.
2) We have free lunch tomorrow at work...yay!
3) Birthday dinner for my mom Friday, which should be nice.
Wow, all the good things are food related. haha
1. after being gone for 2 whole weeks, i finally get my kiddo back this friday!! (she's been visiting with my sister and her cousins in sac)
2. seeing the BS 2 of my close friends deal with in their relationships, makes me SO grateful for my relationship with my hubs.
and
3. since the passing of my boss we've all come together here at our small little office. boss #2 had been stressing (mostly private) about some $$ issues here with the company. she was going over billing, invoices, and couldnt figure out what the problem was. then, she got me involved to see if i could help too.. while i was looking over some billing i found out that we never billed a major client back at the beginning of this year. after some back and forth with the client, they just told us this morning that in fact they had NOT paid that bill. my boss was practically in tears with the news...and well for just about 200K i would be too! she kept thanking and thanking me..and gave me a great big hug. made me feel good.
GL with hearing back about the interview, soprano! I'm in the same boat. I should hear back from the school I interviewed with 2 wks ago by tomorrow.
1) Our trip starts in less than a week (exciting but also nerve-racking since I'm still waiting to hear from this school and I have another interview the day before we leave. I'm hoping I won't have to do it due to getting the other job.)
2) I have almost all the pictures on the walls except I discovered the movers broke one so I have to have that one repaired.
3) I'm struggling to think of a 3rd since I've had some crappy things going on um... I didn't have a nightmare and sleep badly last night like I did 2 nights ago.
