weekend plans anyone?
I make it a goal to rest one day a weekend at least. But Saturday we are driving up to my friends to go to Saratoga Race Track. Not sure if anyone has heard of it before but it is horse racing. I use to live up there until 4 years ago and I went every summer - it is the only gambling I enjoy lol
Hope we win some $$!

My sister is having a garage sale on Saturday and we're selling some furniture in it. So we have to go over early in the morning and price everything. Then we have a pig roast in the afternoon, which should be interesting.
Sunday, we're doing a bunch of cleaning. We've both been neglecting the house lately (doing the big things, like cleaning the carpets and organizing my craft room). After the cleaning, we're probably just going to relax because we have a couple busy weekends ahead of us.
On a side note, I registered for classes today! I'm a little nervous about going back to school, but I really need to move into another field. I don't know how much longer I can be a desk jockey.
I plan on cleaning the house tomorrow, finishing up Saturday morning.
Saturday afternoon, I'm attending a friend's baby shower.
Saturday evening, my work is throwing my baby shower.
Sunday, I'll be teaching Sunday school.
Monday, I'll be driving up to Pahrump, NV for a viewing and funeral, THEN off to UTAH for the burial... but at least my mom is treating me to Cracker Barrel on the way back!!

Aww, I know how hard it is to have a friend move across the US... a friend that I grew up with most of my life (we were even neighbors for about 5 years and practically sisters) moved from Nevada to New York when I was in 8th grade... I cried for days and it was not fun... She eventually got to come visit me and it made those times even more special and we got a chance to actually use stationary that people gave as gifts to write letters to each other. I hope you thoroughly enjoy your special moments together and cherish every minute.

I have no plans... I have a spa gift certificate that I was going to use tomorrow, but when I called, they were out of appointments. Boo... because I really needed some work done on my neck, and the rest was just going to be a bonus. I have to work a bit this weekend, because I didn't meet a work goal today. Even though I won't meet it until Monday at the earliest, but that's another story.
DH is gone until sometime tomorrow (I'm assuming later in the day/evening) so I need to amuse myself with something fun besides just work & sleeping in.
Sunday is church, and that's about all I have planned.
Oh, and this is totally unrelated to the weekend, but I have lost 8 pounds on my diet. My goal is 10, and then to maintain it. I can't believe I've stuck with it so long - 12 weeks! That's pretty huge for me, because I normally eat terribly
