Overseas ETS move in 21days. This too shall pass!
Our journy of stress is about to begin today. H just got his terminal leave paperwork approved (hello 95days), he is on his way to get his ETS orders cut, to housing to get leave notices for the realator, and to transportation to see what all needs to be done.
Here goes 3 crazy azz weeks!
Re: Overseas ETS move in 21days. This too shall pass!
95 days is awesome!! I hope that y'alls move goes quickly and you enjoy your state side residence! Where are you moving to?
TX, H already has a job lined up! I can not wait!
Its not letting me PM you back
You have to click "Quick Reply" and not "Quote". I don't think the Quote feature has worked in a long time. If that's not working, start a new one.
That is what I was doing but it was giving me an error. I think is our server!
We are trying to make this as painless as possible, the hardest part is going to be the animals. After this will we ever have to deal with the Army moving stuff again LOL
2, the issue comes with the heat embargo
No kidding. We went and paid yesterday for Hunter's trip home and I've had to organize with a kennel near the airport he's landing at so he can stay there until we come get him. I recommend, if you can, sending your animals ahead of you. That way you know they're safe and sound and you don't have to worry about pet friendly TLF,etc. You can just go. The hardest thing was realizing that the kennels request you bring their food, well, we can't. And toys. So after spending 1200 pounds (!!! OMG!!) on just the trip, I spent another $80 on a Petsmart order so that he would have food, toys, and a makeshift bed.
The things we do for our babies, right?
Since H is getting out we are headed home. We are going to be staying at his parents for a week. Its easier and better on the wallet to have them fly as checked Baggage. Plus with my crazy dog it would be less stressful. We just have to fly during the night to stay under the heat.
