20 week U/S- It is weird that I'm a little sad?
On Tuesday I have an appointment for an U/S where we'll hopefully find out the gender of the baby. I'm so excited to find out if we have a boy or girl, and have been counting down the days. However, (I'm sure this is just my crazy hormones right now, LOL), but I keep getting really teary eyed thinking about the fact that when we first saw our baby at 6 weeks it was just a little dot on the screen with a teeny, tiny flickering heartbeat. Now, 14 weeks later it's big enough to show us whether it's a boy or girl. 14 weeks has gone by way too fast. Next thing I know my kid will be leaving for college.

I had the opposite reaction. I love going to each dr. appointment because I know Peanut is getting stronger and plumper each week! At each ultrasound I knew my chances of having a miscarriage decreased, so I love each milestone.
Now, once Peanut arrives I may not be so happy about time passing so quickly!
So excited to meet Peanut this fall!

True. I have been thinking about that too which definitely makes me happy.
Aww, I don't think it's weird - I think that an unpredictable flux of emotions is probably pretty standard for pregnancy
But how exciting about your appointment!
awww, not weird at all. Hormones are a ***, and the fleeting nature of childhood is heartbreaking to a parent, no matter what stage (except maybe early adolescence....).
