Well there are now two of us this week...

That have locked theirself out.  Thanks Michaela for putting the curse of the locking out on me :)  Or it could have been karma since I replied, hahaha DH locked himself out of his house and he hasn't lived it down yet.

Yesterday after work, I locked myself of out my house.  AWESOME!!! I had to use a neighbor's phone and call my parents to come rescue me.  My mom didn't answer, so my dad came after 30 minutes of me being in the over 100 degrees weather.  I went outside to put my new sprinkler thingy out because my in ground sprinklers aren't working right now.  So I may have played in the sprinklers a little bit to cool off.

Then if you've been following my fb status war with my mom, she made sure to rub in my face that I needed the spare key that I wanted to take from her.  I wrote back on fb that it was my favorite parent who bailed me out and he could keep his key, but she's can't :)

Karma is a b!tch!!

Re: Well there are now two of us this week...

  • Haha that is too funny! Imagine if you neither one of your parents had the key?! You would have to try to break into your own house! DH and I actually had to do that a few weeks ago after a night of drinking both realizing we didn't have a key....how that happened, no idea. All I remember is taking the cooler that was out on the deck and having DH have to hoist himself up on it and go in thru our living room window. It was quite fun.

Glad your Dad bailed you out!

  • Haha oh man that's karma for ya! Ive been following the fb statuses & find it so amusing! I totally have seen that kardashian episode too.
  • Last night got more hilarious with the I'm on a boat song.  She hates it, haha, so we play it all the time.

OMG Risa, that is hilarious!!! My house is on lock down because ever since my parents house was broken into while I was home alone, there is no way that I let anything open.  I'm going to have to get a hide away key and figure out somewhere to put it though if this happens again :(

My sister OVER plays music. If she likes a song, she will literally play it on repeat constantly.  It gets super annoying.  But it's hilarious because my mom was listening and goes what are flippy floppies?  My dad is like, you're a straight up idiot...where are you from?!? They're shoes. Like the ones you wear on your feet... She gets pissed when we talk to her dumb, but she asks dumb things!!!  She thought it was drugs.  I shake my head at her A LOT. haha!

To be honest, I don't know what type of gun it is, I think it's a .38, it's DH's so it could be a .9.  I prefer shooting .20 and .38.  .40's are rough on me and I'll do a .9 but it's a lot of kick.  I try not to do .40's because DH was shot with one and I don't like thinking about it.

I was 15 and my sister was 5.  I freaked out, duhhh!  Thank god they didn't get into where we were in the house, but I was definitely in the same room as them at one point and I didn't realize until after when the police explained everything to me.  I called my mom before 911 and she cussed at me saying to call 911 haha.  She was going like 90 on the streets to come home and the neighbors came over.  I was shaking for a while and that's why open cabinet doors freak me out.  I went into the room and every door was open.  It's just stuck with me and 10 years later, it freaks me out.

  • Sarah I am sorry I cursed you. Join the club of feeling dumb. I also had a very similar experience when I was really young (7) and intruders broke into my bedroom window when I was sleeping, but my parents were home and once they realized that people were home they bolted. To this day almost 20 years later I still won't sleep alone. We don't have a gun, I don't believe in them. But we do have a baseball bat under the bed just in case. If I broke into my house from being locked out I would set off my alarm and that would be annoying! Makes me think we should give a neighbor a key!
