CraftyMrs--Question?

I believe I read in your blog that you have a Circuit.  Can they so adhesive vinyl?  I'm thinking about getting something so I can create my own personalized labels for things that are more decorative.  I think the Circuit is what I'm looking for but I might be wrong.

Educate me in the ways of the crafty diy ways :) I'm hoping once we are in the house I'll be able to actually start being a little more crafty.

Re: CraftyMrs--Question?

  • she does have one and is good with it, haha, i follow her blog :) the cricut is amazing, or at least i think so. if you head over to the craft board they have a FAQ there with a lot of cricut stuff on it. it can be expensive starting out, but i personally think its worth every penny once you get going. you can cut vinyl, paper, fabric, magnets, stencils...and probably more

sorry i answered for you craftymrs

  • I do have a cricut and yes it cuts vinyl.

I will say you need to know it is a cartridge based system.  If you are planning on using your computer and a third party software you want to get a different machine like the silhouette.  I am completely happy with my machine but I knew it was cart based and never planned on designing my own stuff or using third party software. If you are looking to design your own stuff just ask on the craft board or check out the FAQs everyone is so super nice over there.

I second ajs in that it is worth it but it is expensive.  I started out saying ehh I just need the small machine and a few carts and I'll be set.  I won't event tell you how much I have spent in 3 years haha.  I have a create, expression, cake mini, yudu, cuttlebug, and a gypsy.  Plus too many carts to count.  Let's just say there is going to be a craft loft in the new house with LOTS of counter space and custom shelves.

  • Lol so maybe i want a silhouette...I dunno

We are making our third bedroom (the itty bitty one) the office/craft room for now. The closet is nice sized so all of the hobbies will go in there.
