What were your favourite songs that you chose for the wedding? Was it the song you walked down the aisle to? the father/daughter dance? The garter toss? tell us, post a couple photos, and a link (from youtube) to the music if possible.

Re: Wedding music poll
I loved the song the bridesmaids walked down the aisle to. I had Ingrid Michelson's cover of Can't Help Falling in Love with You (Elvis)
My dad and I danced to Steve Martin and Bernadette Peters singing Tonight You Belong to Me. We both love Steve Martin, too, and the movie "The Jerk" which is the version we danced to. This was traditionally a love song, but to me, the lyrics could so easily be twisted to be about a father's love for his daughter. And my dad was so happy to be dancing with me. He'd practiced for nearly a year with a bad knee.
The song I walked down the aisle to was a version of the Bridal Chorus. You can listen to it here: Bridal Chorus by Pickin' On Series

Our first dance was Can I Have This Dance sung by my friend Julia.

The garter toss song was Gigalo by David Lee Roth.

We didn't do father/daughter or mother/son dances.
Missing our little turkey.
Estimated Due Date 11/13/12 | Natural Miscarriage 4/17/12
We are both complete music geeks, and we have talented musicians for friends and family members, so we had a whole lot of music in our wedding.
Processional: 1,2,3,4 by the Plain White T's, sung by two of our close friends. This was one of the reasons I wish we had gone ahead and done video...they were incredible! But I have no record of their fabulousness.
There were 2 solos, each performed by one of my daughters: "Bless the Broken Road", by Rascal Flatts, sung by my oldest daughter Heather, who has an amazing voice, and I don't just say that because I'm her mom.
The second song was True Companion, by Marc Cohn, interpreted in ASL by my middle daughter Hannah. The video she was using to follow with the lyrics malfunctioned, and she wound up signing a bit ahead of the track, but when the music ran out, there was dead silence, and above it all, you could hear her tiny little voice singing the lyrics to herself...freaky part was, for not being able to hear the music, she was right on pitch! It was unreal...not a dry eye in the place!
Recessional: I'll Cover You, from RENT (of course!) Ron just rolled his eyes and accepted the fact that I was going to find a way to sneak a RENT song in there somehow, and it was fun to watch all my friends and family react when they realized what song was playing.
We made a playlist of some of our favorite songs that wouldn't fit in with the service, that played while guests were being seated. Some of the highlights:
Accidentally In Love-Counting Crows: this really set the tone for the fact that this was a fun, light-hearted gathering. The guests loved it!
Endlessly-Green River Ordinance: probably the most underrated love song of all time.
To Make You Feel My Love-as recorded by Adele: I was listening to this song at home after our first date, when Ron called me on his way home and we decided not to end the date yet because neither of us was ready to say goodbye to each other. My best friend wanted me to sing this to him during the service, but I didn't think I could do it without crying, so I skipped that and put it on the playlist instead.
There were a whole bunch more, but I don't want to bore anyone.
During the prelude we had my cousin playing piano and 5 friends forming a brass quintet, my cousin found an arrangement of Somewhere out There from Fievel an American tale and played it and we had the quintet play Bicycle Built for Two as their last song before the procession. (the brass band my husband is in plays it and I just got it in my head that we needed it at the wedding-now he finds me in the audience anytime they play it and gives me a wink)
For the processional my bell choir director from when I was young played Pachabel's Canon and then the Wedding March. Pachabel's Canon was played at her wedding so that was really nice.
The recessional was a standard...
At the reception we all entered to the Feather Theme from Forest Gump. Our cake song was Ice Cream by Sara McLaughlin. Dh and I danced to From Here to Eternity and my dad picked I loved her first for our song (even though he always swore he would not dance to a country song). We were supposed to have Through the Years for an anniversary dance but our guests were lame and left early so we didn't get to it...Then our last dance was Feels Like Home.
For the ceremony Bill's piano teacher played (Bill was going to hear him play the night that we met at the salsa club, so I think that's a neat tie-in). The moms and BMs walked in to the Butterfly Waltz by Brian Crane, which is so pretty. I walked in to the theme from Legend of Zelda (similiar to this, but a bit slower). The recessional was a jazzed up version of Pachabel's canon.
For our intro into the reception, the BP walked in to the Super Mario Bros theme music, but we edited it into a rock version. Bill and I walked in to Nintento music too. We cut the cake to Grow Old with You by Adam Sandler (from the Wedding Singer). Our first dance was to The Way You Look Tonight, the Michael Buble version.
Father-daughter and mother-son dance we did together to Through the Years by Kenny Rogers.
During the reception I think the DJ played a good mix including a lot of 90s music (since the crowd was mostly late 20s and 30 somethings). Songs that stand out in my memory are: Ace of Base, The Sign. My Dad and I have a thing for Ace of Base, when I asked him what he wanted our dance to be he said Ace of Base (they don't have any songs that fit for a father daughter dance though). I think the DJs thought I was crazy when I requested this song, but the dance floor was packed when they played it :-) I also remember Sweet Caroline (pick below: "reaching out touching me, touching you").
And my nephew (age 7) and Bill's niece (age 4) were so adorable dancing together all night.
Trip to Prague & bring home furbaby when we get back

My favorite was the song I walked down the isle to- Mmm by Laura Izibor. I don't know how to make the clicky like you all, but here's her on you tube:
