Things on FM that I don't get
Re: Things on FM that I don't get
I can't identify with this either. And, I'm close to all my siblings and their kids. We see each other a lot over the summer (at my parents' lakehouse), but not as much during the school year.
I can understand being more involved when there are major issues that the parents are dealing with. I would step up and help out if one of my siblings was ill or otherwise unable to care for their kids. However, there seem to be some people on the boards that feel it is their right to have a say in how their nieces and nephews are raised and that's weird.
With eight nieces and nephews, I could never afford to give them all money for college. DH and I give them gift cards for Christmas and birthdays. Interestingly, they all love to shop at Target, so it's easy!
