MIL likes sending these chocolate snacks to us for special occasions. Which is really nice, as we do like them. It is sweet of her to think to get us an anniversary gift. But she requires a month's worth of thank yous every time she does it.
She called DH the day of our anniversary to ask if they had arrived. He says we just got a package so he thinks they have and thanks her.
Then an hour later she texts me to ask if they definitely arrived. I text her back, yes, they arrived, thank her.
Then she emails to ask if we got them. Email her back, yep, we got them, thank you.
Then this morning she commented on a photo I put on FB asking if we got the gift. Keep in mind that our anniversary was the 26th and it is now the 30th.
What I wanted to say - "We got the d@mn package. Now that you've posted on my photo about it, everyone knows how wonderful you are, is that good enough? Have you gotten enough attention?"
Instead I just posted another thank you.
I think next time I'll just hire a plane to fly a "thank you MIL" banner over her house for a few days. It would be less work.

Back in the USA...for now...
That would be amazing! I wonder how much that would cost.
Next time, take a picture of the chocolates, post it on FB and post about how your thoughtful MIL sent you these for your anniversary. That should do the trick.
Ha, actually, she often does this when we sent her gifts. Brilliant idea! Definitely next time, DH has already eaten them all
