Chicken Paprika with Noodles

Someone gave me this recipe to try and it was yummy. Its similiar to a strogonov (sp?) without the mushrooms.Enjoy

1/2 cup onions, diced

3 tablespoon olive oil

3 teaspoon paprika

2 very large chicken breasts, cut into pieces

1 cup water

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

2 tablespoon flour

1/2 cup sour cream

cooked noodles

In a large skillet, cook onion until tender.  Remove from heat; stir in paprika and mix well. Cook on low for 4 minutes, stirring constantly so paprika wont burn.  Add chicken, water, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat

Simmer, covered, 35-45 minutes (I did 30 min) or until chicken is tender. Remove from heat. Remove chicken and skim off excess fat from sauce. Pour sauce into blender and blend until smooth. The liquid should measure 1 cup.

Mix flour into the sour cream until smooth. Place sour cream mixture into the same skillet and cook slightly.  Add the blended sauce, stirring constantly. Cook and stir until thick, but DO NOT BOIL.  Add chicken and heat through over low heat, cooking and stirring until desired thickness. Serve over noodles.
