  • All of the apps listed below are free, although some allow you to upgrade to commercial-free status for a fee:

MapQuest, Waze, skobbler - free GPS apps (I'm experimenting with all so I'm not yet sure which one I prefer)

Slacker, Pandora, AccuRadio, iHeartRadio, MoveRadio, SpinReggae, SpinTrance, DI Radio, .977Music - music

SoundHound - identifies songs and lyrics

Free Wi-Fi - so I can switch to battery saving wi-fi when possible

    Weather Channel

    Facebook/Echofon

KiK - free texting to other iPhones

RedLaser - scans bar codes and finds the item in other stores to compare prices

GroceryIQ - organizes my shopping list

    Amazon.com

Fooducate - nutritional information about foods I scan

    iTranslate

Google Places/Around Me/Yelp - finds things in my area

RMaker/Ringtones - makes ringtones out of any song in my library

Sleep Pillow - white noise for sleeping

Blue Car - finds my car in the parking lot

Google app - lets me do voice-activated searches

  • Great list above! DH & I downloaded some of those.
