Re: NOTW: Moose948

  • Yay!!  I'm so excited to be NOTW Big Smile     Name a few things on your ?bucket list?: Become a momma. Visit Ireland, along with several other places in Europe (Italy, Greece, Spain).  Ideally I'd like to spend about a month traveling overseas. Buy a house (working on it!)   5 Places You Think People Need to See before they die: Hawaii Mountains of Colorado Wherever their ancestors are from (Ireland for me) Fourth of July fireworks on the beach (any beach will do!) California wine country   If you had no strings attached to where you live now, where would you move to: I'd like to split my time between Hawaii and somewhere in the mountains of Colorado.   Biggest life change since the wedding: Living with a boy!  I'm well adjusted now, but since we didn't live together prior to the wedding, it was a HUGE adjustment for the first 6 months or so.  The increase in the volume of laundry alone was exhausting!   When you were 5, what did you want to be when you grew up: A teacher, Miss America, and an Olympic swimmer.   Name 1 thing you miss about being a kid: Not having to worry about finances.      What is your favorite time of day: Depends on the day.  On the weekends, I love the mornings when DH and I can just enjoy our coffee and relax and enjoy some quiet time.  Weekdays, I'd say after dinner when we can finally collapse on the couch together, even if it's only for a few minutes.   Who lives in your household (include babies/pets/crazy in-laws):  Well currently (since the move to Nashville) we're living with my parents while we look for a house.  So me, DH, my mom, and my dad.  And a cat named Kitty.   How many kids do you realistically hope to have- if at all? Are you working on it yet? If not, when would you like to start?: At this point, the plan is to have 2.  We're not working on it yet- we will likely start trying at some point within the next 6 months (but first we need to find a house and move out of my parents!!)    What is your go-to food when you have had a bad day: I could eat pizza for every meal and never get sick of it.  I love it so much and it always cheers me up.      What is your signature dish/favorite food to make: This is a hard one.  I love to cook and try new dishes.  I'd say my go-tos and most requested dishes are party potatoes, chicken burrito bake, and baked potato soup.    Favorite Mindless TV Show to Watch: Sadly, I don't watch much mindless TV, or much TV at all.  I usually do end up getting sucked into the Bachelor (although I didn't watch any of the Bachelorette this season), so I guess I'll go with that.      Biggest Fear: Biggest irrational fear: getting tipped over in a porta-potty Biggest (somewhat) rational fear:  losing someone I love   Biggest Pet Peeve: People who don't use their turn signals.  And people who use them and then don't turn them off.    If you could go back and re-live one moment in your life, what moment would it be: This is a hard one.  There are several moments from our wedding day that I would love to relive, but I think if I had to pick just one it would be seeing the look on DH's face as I walked down the aisle.      If you absolutely HAD to switch jobs/careerpaths, what would you choose as a new job (pretend you don't need any furthereducation-SAHM doesn't count for this one): I've always wanted to work at a grocery store- preferably as a cashier/bagger.  Isn't that random?  I swear this is what I'll do when I retire!    What's the one object (not person) you cannot live without: I have become disgustingly dependent on my iPhone.    What was your favorite toy growing up: I loved Legos and Tinkertoys.  I liked Barbies too, but always much preferred building things or doing "projects".

We just survived the same thing (living with my parents before buying a house). It's completely worth it once you're in the new place. Hope house hunting is going well! :)

That is the first time I have ever heard anyone want to do that haha. It isn't very glamorous... I would never do it again lol.
