How was your weekend?

I'm going to brag...my BFF had her baby on Saturday and she's just the cutest little chunky thing ever.  Her name is Emma Grace and she weighs 7lbs 11oz.  "Auntie Xan" is going to spoil the heck out of this little girl.  So my weekend consisted of holding onto my phone waiting for the call and then going to visit them.  Other than that, we went to the farmers market on Saturday, did a little grocery shopping, and watched a movie.

It was my turn to have Saturday off at work, so I had a real weekend a whole two days of nothing lol. 

Friday night Mike and I both went and did our own thing he and a good guy friend went to see that movie cowboys vs aliens, and then went to some club downtown. he didn't get home till around 2:30am... I went out for some YUMMY Mexican food and margaritas with the girl I work with, we got so full we called it a night at 10:30 lol

So we spent Saturday in our pjs and took lots of naps to make up for staying up so late (i know I was home by 10:30 but wasn't able to sleep till he got home safe) and then after the sun went down also know as 7:30 we went to the store and spent to much money on grocery's again. Sunday we cleaned up around the house and watched "The Langoliers" and finished the book i was reading. Oh and got all the laundry done and put away!

Stace - Did he like Cowboys vs Aliens? Whenever I see previews I keep thinking how stupid it looks but then I see the actors that are in it and think I should give it a chance.

Friday night we met up with my parents and got Chipolte for dinner. omg, so good. That was the highlight of our night.

Saturday we drove to Philadelphia to meet up with an old coworker of mine and her husband and do a boat cruise around the delaware river (I think?). It was really cool. The food was great, the drinks were great, the weather was awesome and looking at the skyline from the deck with the wind and everything was really really nice and relaxing. We stayed overnight in center city.

Yesterday we left early and got home by 1 which is impressive considering it was a 1 hr train ride + 3.5 hr drive. Then we spent some time dealing with house stuff, and DH decided to get a pre-paid phone and cut his verizon wireless service (he wasn't under contract any more) which is going to save us about $30 a month. We got dinner at this really awesome place where you make a bowl of veggies with noodles and meat and sauce, and then they grill it up and bring it to your table.

Becca- He said it was really good, I feel the same way I see the previews and think gosh that's kind of lame...but for the people they got for it....I'll wait till it's in the cheap seats before we I go see it... that way if i don't like it i'm only out 3.00

I had a great weekend.  Felix and I went to a Christmas in July potluck thing Friday evening, so we ate yummy food.  The couple hosting it has a pool and I knew there would be kids there, so we brought my nephew and niece along.  Yay for "aunt" time!

Saturday morning I took my "little sister" kayaking.  She had never been, so we went with a touring company instead of just borrowing my friend's kayaks.  She loved it, and the highlight had to be when a young manatee kept coming up to us and sticking his nose out of the water.  He was in a very playful mood, so we just sort of drifted in that area for a while until we had to leave.  So cute!

Other than shopping for some supplies Saturday afternoon and going to church Sunday morning, I didn't really go anywhere the rest of the weekend because I was pretty tired.  I did a little laundry and paper/document sorting while watching the Anne of Green Gables miniseries Saturday and Sunday.  (Oh, Gilbert Blythe!)  :-)

We went to Zach's parents for the weekend, for his grandma's 80th birthday party. Got to see lots of family that we don't normally see, which was nice. Since we're doing Christmas with my side this year, his parents are talking about coming up for New Years so we can do a late Christmas with them. Ultimately, a fun but exhausting weekend - I'm glad to be back home.

Two of our really good friends got married this weekend in the Finger Lakes.  It was SO nice to have a break from the heat!  We were able to go to Niagara Falls on Friday which was SO COOL!  Definitely a good weekend.

Lets see...on Friday I went grocery shopping with Hubby, and we tried out an exercise video that kicked our A$$es! 

Saturday: I was lazy, and me and H went and picked up my little sister to come over and spend the night. I had dinner with my parents, and we watched a movie.

Sunday: H got home at 7AM so him, my sis and I went to the pool and swam a couple laps. Went back to parents house to drop off sister, and played WII with my dad. Then I went to the lake with H and Pyro and got some sun.

I am now sun burned, and trying to play catch up at work since I played hookie yesterday. lol.

Congrats Auntie Xan!

I was in Saskatchewan visiting my nieces from Thursday to Sunday and got back to Ottawa yesterday.  We played outside, coloured, snuggled, went to a petting zoo and a wave pool.  It was great!

Monday was Chris' b-day, so I took him out to a new place for dinner last night.  The food and service were great, but the air conditioning was lacking, so we were a bit uncomfortable.
