Re: How was your weekend?
DH and I were in the Great Urban Race for Kansas City and ended up qualifying for the National Race in NOLA this November; we're crossing our fingers that we'll be able to afford it! Other than that I spent time with my newborn niece and slept - I was still catching up after a very long two weeks!

Well happily DH and his hockey team won their division championship last night! We celebrated afterwards at a local bar and had some fun.
Friday DH and I went to a bar where one of his teammates works, supposedly to meet up with others who never showed while we were there til 10:45. Oh well.
Saturday I went on some errands and worked on my crochet projects, watched some tv and of course the #1 Phillies!!

Nothing exciting, but it was fun!
Friday night, I met up with my friends at a beer garden in Jersey City (any NJ girls ever been? it's cute). We were celebrating my bff's birthday.
Saturday I spent the whole day cleaning and food shopping - I need a cleaning lady. It was TOO nice out to be inside. For dinner, we grilled pizza and it was AMAZING! Has anyone tried it?
Yesterday, DH dropped me off at the beach while he went golfing. So we both had great days. It was a perfect beach day, and I loved having the whole day to myself to read a book.
Now it's back to the grind...wahhh!
Not too much really, just enjoyed not being at work!
Saturday DH and I went to breakfast, and ran some errands. Then we just sat poolside most of the day and got BBQ to go from a local restaurant and watched a movie at home.
Yesterday my bff's and I went to the beach and had a GREAT time! I defintiely am sunburnt, but it was well worth it.
Unfortunately now I am back at work, and this week is going to be helllll.

Zeppelin Hall is the bomb!!! We go there a lot. It's DH's second favorite place, after Yankee Stadium
They're opening a beer garden in Hoboken next week too.
My weekend was pretty good. On Saturday we went to DH's cousin's 70th bday party - he is much much younger than all of his cousins but the same age as a lot of their kids. It was great to see his family, most of whom I haven't seen since our wedding. In an odd coincidence about the cousin celebrating his bday - his second wife is my childhood friend's mother-in-law. Her mom is still close friends with my mom, and my friend figured it out when she realized that her parents and inlaws were both going to the same wedding (ours). Considering that we grew up in Philly and they live in Central Jersey, it's a crazy coincidence. Anyway, my friend and her parents were there and it was great catching up with them.
Saturday night we went out for dinner, mostly because we have like no food in the house.
Yesterday we went down to see my family. My sister has been really sick from the cancer or the chemo - who knows - and now her husband is also really sick. When we got there they were both in bed trying not to throw up. It was fun. My mom and I got them some meds, and my sister felt well enough to join us when we took my nephews to lunch. So now I have to worry not just about my sister, but my BIL as well. Thank goodness their kids aren't that little anymore and don't need to be taken care of 24/7.
We had a fun lil weekend... had a lil pizza/rummy night on Friday with some friends... Saturday I did a lil cardio-kickboxing then we headed up to Boston to see some family. Did some dinner and drinks and then on Sunday we picked up our first ever foster dog! His name is Diseal - I'll post in another post. And then more summer drinking and relaxing on Sunday! YAY for SUMMER!

Some friends from Chicago were in town for a wedding this weekend, so we hung out with them. Friday night was "adults only" night and we went to a local pub for dinner and drinks. Saturday night their kids came along and we went to a local version on Dave & Busters for kids.
Yesterday we folded and put away all of the laundry (major task for us). Then we did a little cleaning a just bummed around all day. We had to meet my parent at the airport at 3:45 am yesterday morning to take their vehicle back to our place for the week (the joys of living 10 min away from the airport).
We didn't do anything particularly exciting this weekend. On Friday night we went to eat @ Firehouse Subs & then went over to Home Depot. The HD here sucks. You can NEVER find anyone to help you or answer a question. Anyway...
On Saturday I organized & cleaned the upstairs bonus room. We had been using it for storage so I finally got around to putting things in the attic & setting up the twin beds. MIL bought 2 cute matching bedspreads that I really liked & so I put those on the beds as soon as DH helped me get the boxsprings & matresses on. SD is having slumber party this coming weekend & it will be the prefect space for them. There's a King bed & a tv & dvd player up there so they should be set for a fun evening full of movies & popcorn. It'll be tween heaven.
Sunday I slept late & had terrible AF cramps so I didn't do much of anything except lay on the couch. Although I did wash 3 loads of laundry & made the King bed upstairs.
Hi ladies!!! I pretty much had a laid back weekend...for a change, the weather wasn't so hot that you felt like you would just explode being outside for more than a minute :-)
Ran a few errands and did a little shopping for some household items, but otherwise pretty nice and uneventful!
We had a great weekend! Friday we went to a friends house and had dinner and surprised our other friend with a Kitchen Aid Mixer! My friend won a kitchenaid at an event we went to and we both already had one but our other friend didn't. She's getting married in July and we couldn't wait a whole year to give it to her! She was shocked! haha
Saturday we went to a BBQ all day. I made a huge pitcher of sangria and it was gone by the end of the night. heh
Sunday was pretty uneventful. DH and I went clothes shopping for him and I literally wanted to pull out all my teeth. He is SO impossible to shop with, he is an even pickier shopper than ME.
I'm just glad for a 3 day work week until it is OFF to Bermuda! However, I am not looking forward to waking up at 4AM for our flight. ugh

The family reunion was amazing! Four days of fun in the sun with all my relatives and lots of food and drinks! I'm so sad that I won't see many of them for another three years until the next reunion!
We got home yesterday about 1:30, and I literally spent the entire day in bed napping and catching up on my DVR...so pathetic! : )
