My parents are taking our girls to the beach this weekend so we have some free time (!!) We haven't been to Annapolis in years, anything interesting we can walk around and look at/do there? Open to anything really, thanks!
Re: Annapolis?
My husband had a great little weekend there pre-baby. We went to some of the lovely historic houses, went to Cantler's for lunch based on recommendations from this board, did a ghost pub tour, and spent the night at a historic inn downtown.
It was awesome. Also, you should definitely walk around the Naval Academy, they have a museum on campus that was pretty interesting.
If you decide to go to Cantler's (it's outside of the downtown area), then you might want to make a reservation, they get pretty full.
Have fun!

Cantler's does not take reservations unless it is 10+ and that is only on certain days. However, I think this place is now in every guide book and has lost its 'local charm.'
Downtown Annapolis and the Naval Academy are both nice to walk around. Personally, I like Davis' Pub or Boatyard Grill in Eastport (and you can walk to them from downtown). We recently did a boat cruise out of the dock and it was a fun 40 minute cruise. Or, there are many sailing trips, trips to St. Michaels, etc.... available.
Maryland Avenue (near the State Capitol- has some art galleries and nice shops too.
Ditto PPs re: stuff to do. There are some nice boat cruises. If they are adventurous a sail might be nice.
I love Lilac Bijoux - a little boutique that sells some nice reasonably priced jewelry and handbags.
