5. DH and I have decided to DIY a backsplah in our kitchen. We picked out tiles this weekend and I can't wait to get started.
What did you decide to do for a backsplash?
We're finishing up a kitchen remodel -- countertops are getting installed next Tuesday -- and then DH is going to do our backsplash. We are going to be using travertine (I believe some people call it tumbled marble) and we will be doing a row of square tiles along the bottom, with diagonal tiles the rest of the way.
Re: ::sassygirl4u27::
We bought several sheets of these http://www.homedepot.com/Flooring-Tile-Stone-Tile/h_d1/N-5yc1vZbbcu/R-202748856/h_d2/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10053
Our kitchen had had a recent "face lift" when we bought the house last year, so it doesnt need a full remodel, but we wanted to update it a bit more.
Ooh...I like that. I'm afraid to go with something that bold (even though that's still pretty versatile). I tend to err on the "safe" side which is why I chose the most basic backsplash out there.
Post pics when you're done!
Lol. Thats actually toned down from some of the ones we looked at. Though for our kitchen, it is really bold. I am excited to see how everything comes together.
It might be a bit before we get the backsplash up though, there are a few other things that need to get done first. But I will definately post pics when we are done.
