Swimming beaches

This is the list I found for metro area beaches.  Any recommendations?  Preferrably in the west-NW metro.  Right now I'm leaning toward Baker, Bryant and French.  It'll be a group of us girls on a Saturday, so if there are any that aren't extremely packed that's even better.  Thanks!

Bryant Lake Regional Park
Lake Minnetonka Swimming Pond
Lake Rebecca Park Reserve
Fish Lake Regional Park
Elm Creek Swimming Pond

Re: Swimming beaches

  • Lake Minnetonka Swimming Pond is Great. I don't know how busy it is on the weekends but it wasn't to bad one the weekday I was there.

  • French Park is really nice, and it hasn't been crowded when I've been there

  • I've never been to the swimming ponds, but I rollerblade at fish lake and french.  Both look like nice beaches and don't seem overcrowded when I have seen them.  The people I babysit for bring their kids to Elm Creek all the time and love it.
