My friend is at the hospital as we speak having her baby (yay!!!!).
I'm planning on going over Friday evening to see the baby and bring gifts of course. Making a baked spaghetti casserole for them to pop in the oven when they want, and a couple outfits, but I'm looking for something to get my friend - a special gift just for her.
Any suggestions? TIA
Re: New Mom Gift Idea
I like the idea of a massage.
I was thinking you could get her a gift certificate to get a mani/pedi. I am sure her toes weren't getting much attention, especially during the end of her pregnancy, so that might be something fun and relaxing for her to do. Or along those lines you could put together a little basket of items for her (bubble bath, a couple things of nail polish, scented candles, etc) to create a little 'at home spa' for her.
And she's here!!!!!
Avery Elise!!! So excited to meet her in a couple days!

Thanks all! I like the at home spa idea!
I just spent my whole lunch out buying a few outfits for her, and I also found this: http://willowtree.info/product/angel-of-mine-memory-box.
All I know is that when H and I decide to have kids, he better watch out, becuase I might just buy out all of Baby Gap
Not sure if I'm too late...
First, I love the name they chose
Second, a casserole, or anything they can freeze and have to eat sometime over the next couple/few weeks is probably the best thing you can do for them. Heck, bring two or three things!
Third, I'm not sure how close you are to her, so this may not be the best idea. But I would love to have had someone bring me new pj/lounge pants in the first week or two. I mean, I had plenty, but it's nice to have something new. Plus, your body changes so much, and you're still shaped so funny, that old pants don't fit as well. I know it sounds weird, but looking back at that first week home, that would have been awesome!
