Amelia is going to be a big sister!
Nope, not a messy eater. On average, she nurses 4x a day and gets a bottle of formula 1x a day.
She gained weight and did really good from birth - 2 months. Not sure what happend after that...
And thanks everyone, it helps.
Good to know. Did they do tests on him? How early did it start?
My pedi was going to send us to a GI, but said to try the rice in his bottle first because that was probably going to be what he told us to do first anyhow. It ended up working and saved us a trip. I wanna say too I read somewhere online that babies peak spitting up at 4 months. I could be totally wrong and I don't know how good of a site it was that I read this on. The only difference is R was gaining weight-not a ton, but was going up. He was eating a lot at that time though so that could be the difference.
The Sand in My Snow Boots
Just throwing this out there, but one of Margot's most prominent food sensitivity symptoms was tons of spitting up. Another pretty common symptom is not gaining weight because it's hard to or they just can't digest the allergen food(s) properly. If it is that, the cure is a diet change on Mama's part - usually starting with cutting out dairy and soy.
Of course, I know it could be tons of other things too and I really hope it's not that and that it's something super easy to fix!! I'm glad she's going to the GI though to get checked out
T&Ps for Carly.
I hope they figure out what's wrong with her.
