I was looking through your recipes and saw the Strawberry pie one... it says to not use non-fat sour cream... out of curiosity, why? Did you try it? What happens?
Re: Kate
The water content in non-fat sour cream is higher so the mixture doesn't come together right.
Full fat sour cream will make a paste-like consistancy that will leave lots of air bubbles and make the pie very light and fluffy. The non-fat sour cream will create a runny, dense pie. Low fat sour cream is a bit in the middle and the best option if you're looking to cut some of the fat but keep the integrity of the pie.
