Hey all,
I'm still trying to figure out how the whole site works so forgive me if I'm posting in the wrong place.
I'm getting married in a few weeks and moving to my hubby's place in Greenwich. I've lived in New York City my entire life, so even a few miles feels like a world away. Basically, I wanted to send this out there in hopes of finding a few neighbors! We're both in our early 20's and spend a lot of time in NYC, so suggestions for things to do or must-see's would be fantastic as well.
Thanks in advance
Re: moving to Greenwich
Hi there,
Welcome to CT and congratulations! I recently moved to South Norwalk (where my fiance is from). There are some really great things to do in your area. Let me know if you'd like to chat!
Hi there! My husband is from Greenwich and we live in west norwalk, just north of you! I'm sure you've been settling in and figuring things out around there, but I wanted to reach out- Greenwich Ave is an obvious answer- there are TONS of shops and good eats all along the avenue. Check out the versailles french bistro/cafe....as well as sundown saloon, thataway cafe....
if you have a pet, go to pet pantry warehouse, just around the corner from the train station. The greenwich Library is beautiful. A MUST SEE is Mianus River Park....miles and miles of trails along the Mianus river. Go to Tod's Point in Old Greenwich...you'll need passes and a sticker to get in, proving your a resident but you can get those from Greenwich town hall. It's worth it to get them- it's beautiful out there for laying out on the beach, going for bike rides, walks, jogging, etc.
That's enough to get you started. Good luck! Enjoy. If you have any questions, let me know!
