Where do you go to make new friends?
I've been trying to figure out where to go and what to do so that my husband and I can make some new friends in the area. All of our other friends are out of state now except a couple, but they are still a few hours away so we don't get to hang as often as we would like. We hang out with co workers and stuff, but I would really like to meet some new people to hang out with too.

We are in the same boat. We moved 6 hours away from all our friends and family! We moved for my work, and its only me and one other person here. So, I cannot even make friends with my co-workers!
Are you religious at all? DH and I have made several friends through our church.
Otherwise most of our friends are the ones that stuck around after college

Ours is small as well (we average around 80 when it's not summer--we're a travelling bunch). We were some of the only young adults, but we're slowly and steadily growing that age range (4 or 5 couples). I've managed to become the unofficial "event planner" for the group, too.

I am also not religious at all! Never have been, and everyone around us look down upon my fiance and I because we live together and are not married.
Maybe depending where everyone is...we can do some sort of meet up! I am in South Central KY...where is everyone else from?
I could see how you'd get looks where you are. For what it's worth, my DH and I lived together first and no one here batted an eye. And we're in Lexington.

We're in Lexington, if you're interested in getting together. We're not really religious either, so church hasn't been a real option for us. We moved here in May and haven't made a lot of friends yet (just a few from DH's work and from people I've met randomly at the dog park and on Couch surfing). I'm a photographer, so I've met a few people doing photoshoots for them. I agree with the above comment, you should meet a few a your classes...that makes me miss college. I left all of my girlfriends back in Austin. Anyway, let me know if you'd like to get together sometime!
