Engagement gift wrapping paper?

Ok so I have my BFF's presents arriving today and I need to buy wrapping paper. Do I get wedding style paper? Generic print? Is there "engagement paper" out there?? Help please :-) Obviously I need it!

Re: Engagement gift wrapping paper?

  • I don't know that I have ever seen engagement paper, but maybe something blingy? Like Metallic silver or gold or something with glitter?

  • usually in a card store, there's a section of wedding wrapping paper etc, and they usually sell a pretty generic cream-colored or maybe gold or silvery wrap.  something like that would be perfect!  what did you end up getting her??

  • I think I got my last set of paper from the Dollar Tree or Paper Factory.  I agree anything kind of sparkly looking would be good.

  • I have this silver paper with a black damask pattern on it that I use for anything bridal. Something like that.

  • I agree with just a plain metallic paper. Has she mentioned wedding colors yet? You could get paper in a shade of one of the colors.

  • SPARKLES!

I think sparkly or shiny paper is appropriate for all occasions, especially engagements :)

  • Thanks for the ideas ladies! I think the sparkly/metallic will be easy to find so I will be shopping soon for that. She hasn't mentioned colors yet, she's about a year from her estimated date (they have 8/19 on their registry but she never told me they officially set it). I will have to catch up with her after she gets back from her vacation this weekend to get details of what she's accomplished!

I got her a set of her everyday dinnerware- Noritake colorwave (it was BOGO and I got 15% off too for their home sale!) and a cheese board set (15% off too). So she'll have two sets of dinnerware and the cheese board. It'll be from my dad and DH and I together.
