ask me

I don't think I've played before, but I'll give it a whirl.

Also, thank you for starting this.  I was taking a break from work and thinking, god, I wish the nest wasn't so lame lately so I could take a good break rather than just checking out how far in the crapper the market is going today, and then I opened up the page and was pleasantly surprised!

Re: ask me

  • Do you think you're the sh*t for living in such a beautiful house?

Story time!  When I dropped off your hair clips I had my mom with me.  We pulled up and I said, "What the hell!  I should have charged her more, that b*tch!"

  • Do you have an emergency fund, and if so, how much is in it (3 months expenses, 6 months income, that sort of thing)?

If you could do it over again, would you have chosen to be a lawyer?  If not, what would you like to do instead?

Do you receive pedicures regularly (I am so random, lol)?

What is your favorite feature (of yourself)?

  • Are you going to have #2?

Are you worried it won't happen right away?

Do you think you're the sh*t for living in such a beautiful house?  No, I don't think I'm the ***. But I do think my house is the ***. :)  Come back and drink wine with me on the back porch - DH installed outdoor speakers!

Story time!  When I dropped off your hair clips I had my mom with me.  We pulled up and I said, "What the hell!  I should have charged her more, that b*tch!" You totally should have charged me more.  You're cheap!  Good thing I don't have girls, you would have the opportunity to charge the *** outta me.

Do you have an emergency fund, and if so, how much is in it (3 months expenses, 6 months income, that sort of thing)?  Yes, my personal account has about 12 months of expenses.  DH has one too, it has more.  We're super uptight.

If you could do it over again, would you have chosen to be a lawyer?  If not, what would you like to do instead?  Yes, I love being a lawyer.  But I still don't know what I want to do.  I'm ready for a change.

Do you receive pedicures regularly (I am so random, lol)?  Not as regularly as I should. I'm due. Since having a baby, I feel super guilty for spending time away from him to do stuff like this for me, even though I know I should.

What is your favorite feature (of yourself)? Probably my eyes.

Are you going to have #2?  Yes.

Are you worried it won't happen right away? Yes. But I think given what we went through before, God owes it to us to make it happen quickly.  If it doesn't happen by Christmas, my OB is going to put me on Clomid, which scares the sh!t out of me - everyone I know that has gone on Clomid has had twins! And that would seriously put me in an institution. (unless my parents move here stat)

  • I want to see your house - Amy told me there is a fountain in the front yard. Can i come over for vino too?

Acutally, this sounds totally douchey - I'm afraid you wouldnt like me and want to be my friend - its like I live in the projects, and you live in the whitehouse . I'd be afraid to touch anything in your house.

    That sounds so LAME!!

  • Do you miss private practice?

I was afraid of that too, but I think she likes me. : )

I always feel super plain and boring next to you.  But I love that we get along so well because I love to tell people that I am hanging out with my smart lawyer friend.  Ha ha!

And I need to see your mansion.  I feel like we're not besties yet until that happens.  Probably should happen before we spend a hotel night together in october.  Lol!

  • Somedays I really miss private practice and I definitely think of going back to it, but not sure I could go back to the large law firm setting.  I don't want to have to wear suits and pantyhose everyday again! :)

In re twins: okay, good to know some people here made it through Clomid without twins.  And, I do agree, twins would be awesome and we'd figure it out.  I just have this feeling that I'm gonna have a 3 year old, a one year old and then try for #3 and end up with #3 and #4 at the same time - then have 4 under 4.  Yikes!!

OMG...what are you girls talking about? I'm not fancy at all! I grew up in Kearney, my DH grew up in Gretna. My parents both grew up on a farm.  We are so not fancy people!  I can drink beer and hang out at dive bars with the best of them!  And K, I'm the one who feels plain & boring compared to you - you are always doing fun stuff! My exciting night out is scrapbooking - seriously!  Actually, we are supposed to go out tomorrow night with friends to the Sugarland concert and that's a big deal.  We are such homebodies, esp since becoming parents.  And if you ever drop by unannounced, pretty guaranteed you will find me in yoga pants and a ponytail.  So yeah, we can all hang out in the back and drink wine, or beer for that matter. :)

As for the house...yes, we have a fountain by the front door. I love that thing! When we had our landscaping done, I always thought the front looked so drab, so I requested a fountain for an anniversary present to dress the front up a bit.  Did you happen to notice the dead flowers in the hanging basket right behind said fountain???

  • Tiff, there is nothing in my house that you would break if you touched it!

And yes, I like K!  She invited me into her exclusive scrapbooking circle :)  It's not a mansion, but you're welcome anytime - before or after we shack up in KC.
