Growl...

Ok, so I just broke my cardinal rule of internet boards-- I lost my temper.  I've been annoyed and put off, sure.  But I just saw a ridiculous post-- basically that it's some how not right to take your kids on vacation to the town I summered on b/c it's "gay".

I admit, it's more of an 'adult' kind of place and I think that's a reasonable disclaimer.  But "don't go there with kids" it's unsafe/not right?!  It's beyond stupid and small minded.  Yeah, the main street bars at midnight-- probably not great for a 1yrs old (not b/c of same sex couples, but b/c streets, bars, and midnight are generally a poor plan for infants, period).

I don't know, I didn't think I got homesick and/or easily offended, but GRRR it totally p!ssed me off.

Re: Growl...

  • Yeah, a lot of people got upset about that post.  It's pure idiocy.
I like pineapples...they make life just so much more interesting.
  • Yes, see wise_rita's post "BSC XP" from yesterday or the day before. Lots of very angry people about those remarks!
  • P.S. I see you suggested Northampton. That's where I went to college :)
  • Small world!  I think NoHo would be a great college town.  I wanted out, b/c I was a typical HS kid, you know, everything you know or have experienced is "boring".  So I ended up going to DC, which was/is great.  But as an actually adult (v. surly teen), I really think it would have been cool to be in NoHo for school.

We still like Boston alot, only, the blood has for sure thinned from living in warmer spots so I don't think I could handle the winters (or maybe I'm just messed up from my early expose to same sex couples Confused).
