As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

I would recommend d/ling itunes to sync you ipod. I get music from there, but once in a while amazon will have a sale, and so I'll get some music from there too.
Apps, I'm not much help on, I do enjoy the fact that pinterest has an app, there's also angry birds. But other than that I'm boring in the app department.
