TGIF!

I'm so glad the weekend is nearly here and that I have a few more weeks of 3pm Fridays.  What's going on this weekend?

Today I think we're going to play some volleyball after dropping MIL off for the start of her trip.  It's supposed to be a gorgeous day out (yay!) and we have to take advantage of it!

Tomorrow we're having brunch with a friend and his mom who's visiting.  Then we're meeting with a plumber about some work we want done.

Sunday we signed up to play in a tournament but I think the weather isn't supposed to be very good so we'll see what happens.

I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

Re: TGIF!

  • Today I'm going to run over to Copley to the Farmers Market to get some veggies for tomorrow's dinner.

Tonight I have ballet until 9:00 so that pretty much means I'll come home and sleep...

Tomorrow and Sunday are  just going to be for relaxing. No big plans. Hopefully Sunday will be nice in the morning so we can enjoy SOWA.

Monday evening I'm leading a handbell music reading session at Old South Church, which will be fun for me...

  • Have fun with you MIL, Rock!

We have nothing going on this weekend. DH is traveling next week (of course) so spending as much time with the family as possible is all I have on my agenda.

  • We're heading to Maine for the weekend again... it might be the last weekend since we're home next weekend and then I'm 36 weeks for the following weekend (that wouldn't hold me back but DH might freak out).

    That sounds fun!

Tomorrow, we're going to clean up the apartment a bit and be lazy. Then we're going out to dinner at Fleming's tomorrow, thanks to a gift card we've had sitting around.

Sunday, we may go see Captain America, since my husband has been dying to see it. And since I am dragging him to One Day and The Help in a couple of weeks, I guess I'll tag along.  :)

  • Tonight I don't have anything going on. Maybe go spend a couple hours at my moms if shes around. Tomorrow I'm hoping to go to the beach with MIL and FIL, but if the weather isn't beach-worthy I'm hoping to take a trip to the Wrentham Outlets. Sunday I'd like to go to a local flea market and then to a lake with my sister and niece, but again depends on the weather. I hope mother nature is on my side!

  • We usually have absolutely no plans on weekends but this weekend there are invites galore. Tomorrow we are going to a party at one of hubby's department heads homes in Gloucester. A friend from grad school is in town from Seattle so I'm hoping we get back in time to meet her for drinks and Sunday we may go to Shakespeare on the Common.
  • I have an appt. this afternoon with Accountemps, I just need my allergies to be nice.  I'm going to meet with them today, but wait until the beginning of Sept. to start something.  Still hoping I can find something I really want before then.  Or convince DH to move to North Carolina Smile

We were invited to a BBQ tomorrow, but I think I want to just chill out with DH.  I didn't really spend much time with him last weekend because of the bachelorette party I went to.  He has a side job to check out in Framingham, otherwise I'm thinking lazy and local is the plan Smile

  • Happy friday!

We're not doing much. We are leaving next Thursday for a trip to see family, so we'll just relax.

I am waiting on DS to wake up so we can go to the pool! Then to Whole Foods because they are having a mad peach sale at my local one.

I think DH and I will just watch a movie and order pizza tonight (and drink the peach wheat beer from WF lol) if DS's bedtime goes as well as it did last night.

Tomorrow I want to take DS to the children's museum and maybe eat lunch at a soul food place I miss.

Dunno on Sunday, there is talk of brunch and maybe the pool again with friends and their babies, but we'll see. DS is painting a project for his nanny for her birthday so we'll finish that on Sunday.

Is the family trip up here?

How sweet that DS is painting something for the nanny Smile  How is he doing it?   I've been missing your cute nanny and crazy housekeeper stories!

Where do you take ballet?  I've been taking a dance class Monday nights and love it- such a great workout and so fun!

  • No real plans for us this weekend. Probably just laying low and renting a movie tonight. Tomorrow we want to hit the driving range and then we're going to be hanging out with another couple for dinner/drinks. Sunday is just normal Sunday things - church, laundry, errands
    Daisypath Anniversary tickers

Lauren's book recommendations, liked quotes, book clubs, book trivia, book lists (to-read shelf)Follow Me on Pinterest

  • Hanging out with one of my Sorority sisters at her house tonight (maybe even doing non laundry mat laundry!!!! OO!!!)

DH is getting his car fixed by a friend of my family in New Bedford tomorrow and I need to take my grandmother for groceries, so most likely going to be Southcoast bound tomorrow

Nothing planned Sunday, I'd love a beach day somewhere in here :P or cleaning the apartment or applying for more guidance/admissions jobs :(

  • Tonight we're going on a booze cruise out of Boston Harbor (a friend chartered a boat for the evening - free food!  open bar!).  I've had a rough week so I cannot wait Smile

Tomorrow night I'm heading down to the South Shore for dinner with 2 high school friends.

Sunday DH and I are going to a pig roast in JP.  Should be interesting!

  • Today we went to the outlets in Wrentham. DD is exhausted ;)

    Tomorrow we'll likely start packing.

Sunday we'll finish up so I"m ready to head out Monday. It never ends around here, but at least this time we're not going to the old house in PA.

I hoping Sunday we might be able to go kayaking on the lake.

  • SCM, you always seem to go to the best parties!

DrL, did you get anything good at the outlets?

Ha!  We have friends who like to entertain, that's for sure.  We need to step it up and reciprocate soon.

The booze cruise tonight should be funny because the theme is "Yacht Rock".  Not sure if anyone ever watched that show, but its a parody of soft rock artists like Michael McDonald, Hall & Oates, Steely Dan, Toto, etc.  So everyone is supposed to dress in 70s/80s Yacht Rock attire Wink

I bought a 6x6 canvas and he has some non toxic, baby paint so I spread it in a washed lean cuisine dish and let him just go to town!

I did try to have him do a handprint in the middle of his painting but he smeared that pretty bad, oh well. she will love it anyway!

Crazy housekeeper is gone- I terminated her and now have someone new!

That sounds awesome and hilarious. I wish my friends liked to throw parties like that!  *pouts*

Only stuff for DD. I caved and got her a polo dress at the Ralph Lauren outlet and I'm swearing to put it on her once a week at least to justify the cost. And a pair of shoes for her for fall. She loves them.

I was going to get a Coach purse for my mom (50% off plus another 30% coupon when I walked in the door), but my dad said she already had one in the color I liked. And their fall stuff isn't in yet. Maybe for Christmas :)
