Factoid Friday

I'm a VERY light sleeper.  So when people started working on paving a driveway at 7 am this morning, I was wide awake.  UGH.  Good thing I just turned on the AC and went back to sleep since it drowned out the noise.

  • I absolutely LOVE the sound of rain and thunderstorms  Lightning........  I even kind of like lightening a little bit... but not so much the huge loud cracks that always seem to happen when you're driving in the car.  I love a warm summer storm.  I think running around in the rain is kinda fun and dancing/kissing in the rain is super sexy!!  Annnnd... there is nothing better than napping during a thunderstorm  Lightning  Perfect sleeping weather.

Also, growing up in FL, we would have this awesome stuff called "heat lightening"... it is bright purple and pink spider-webb-y type streaks of lighteneing that go from cloud to cloud (not cloud to ground).... in high school, we would climb up on the roof with blankets and watch the show.  It was amazing.  I am, for some weird reason, daydreaming and missing that today.

  • I have to be able to run my fingers through my hair. If I can, I will pull it out until I can. I have a student right now whose hair is a curly mess. I used the word "ratty" when she asked what I thought of her hair and made another student comb it. Yes, I am a nice teacher. I, of course, would not say that to all students. I have that type of relationship with this one.
