what to do with cardboard "chipboard"?
So we just moved and apparently there is nowhere in this state (New Mexico) to recycle cardboard "chipboard" - cereal boxes, etc. (I asked the "New Mexico Recycling Coalition and that is what they said.)
I have no idea what to do with it (at our old place we could recycle it so I never gave it a second thought) but I feel terrible just throwing it away. Any ideas? (We do not have any storage space to keep a ton of it around for a long time.)

Sorry, I just went back and looked at my email and found that the NMRC told me that it was not anywhere in Albuquerque (where we live) that would accept it - not nowhere in the state as I wrote in the OP. Sorry for the error.
I found only 2 places that would recycle chipboard in the state using that search link, and both are approximately 200 miles away from Albuquerque. I don't plan on driving to either of them for any other reason, so it's not a feasible solution for me.
I guess for now, I'm looking for anything else I could do with it other than recycling... although I'm thinking there is probably not much.
Does anyone know about air pollution created when burning chipboard? Maybe I could find a friend with a wood burning fireplace or a firepit.
I figured none of those places would be nearby, but it was worth a shot! I can't imagine why they don't recycle it.
You could cut it up in postcard size pieces on which you write letters to send to the companies and to lawmakers to get it changed. Or start a whole campaign in which you and many other do this...
