  • What is your favorite color to wear?Light pink and gray, I like light colors in general.  What is your favorite room in your house and why? Our living room.  It is cozy and relaxing and has lots of family photos and our sectional is so  comfortable and it looks out onto the woods behind our house.  I love snuggling up on our  couch at night and reading with the breeze blowing in, haha that sounds dorky but it is true.Which room of your house needs the most improvement? Our basement.  We finished it last year before Parker came, but we still have a lot of little things to finish up, like painting trim, getting shades for the windows, and furnishing it.  Right now it is a mix of  furniture, baby stuff we are no longer using and my photography studio stuff.  What is your favorite holiday? I would say Christmas just because we get together with all our family and I love picking out gifts for everyone.  I also love the music and all the traditions like getting our tree, decorating, baking cookies, etc.  I especially love it now that Parker is here.  Favorite season?  I love summer but fall is my favorite.  The foliage is so beautiful here, and I love when the temp cools down, pumpkin lattes, sweater weather, all that.
  • Just so you guys know I can't make my responses bold or anything on my mac because I am technically challenged, so sorry if it makes it harder to read!
  • Favorite song right now?

Favorite thing to do on a lazy Sunday?

Would YOU eat a live octopus for $1,000?

  • 1) Did you watch the Bachelorette this season? Thoughts on the results?I sure did!!  I love reality tv, and I have watched every season of the Bachelorette and Bachelor.  I know it never works out and is always the same drama but it gets me every season.  I personally loved JP and am very happy with the ending.  Ashley kind of got on my nerves sometimes but it was a pretty juicy season so I liked it.   2) Have you read any great books? Suggestions?  I have read some great books lately!  I just finished Silver Girl by Elin Hilderbrand and I loved it!  I also read Jennifer Weiner's Fly Away Home and that was great as well.  I am currently reading Maine by J. Courtney Sullivan(who wrote Commencement, one of my favorite books ever) and I am liking it a lot but it is a little slower than Commencement and definitely a different style of book.  My next book is Jennifer Weiner's Then Came You.   3) What's your favorite sport?  I played field hockey in high school and loved it.  Other than that I am not too sporty myself.  As far as spectator sports, I love baseball.   And I hate football.
  • If Parker had been a girl, what would her name have been?  Well we never finalized anything but we both loved the name Giada(yes I know!).  But if we have a girl in the future I am not sure we would actually use it.  I would like to use my middle name which is Elisabeth but L doesn't like it enough.  How did you and your husband meet/how long have you known him?  We met through mutual friends in 2006 but we were both dating other people.  Those relationships ended and we re-connected in 2007 and starting dating that summer.  What did you do before being a SAHM? After college I worked for 3 years in the substance abuse field as a case manager.  I loved it but it was emotionally draining and took over my life so I changed careers and starting working in the nursing field as a manager, and then transitioned to marketing for that same company a little while after that.   My last day of work was about a month before Parker was born which worked out well becuse I ended up having to go on bedrest.
  • Favorite movie/book genre?

    Animal most representative of you?

    Favorite cartoon growing up?

  • What do you like about living in Vermont and would you ever move? If so where and why?

  • Favorite part of being a mom? Biggest adjustment?I love seeing Parker interact with everything around him, it is fun to see things through "his eyes" and I know this will become even more fun as he gets older.  Definitely the lack of sleep, I never imagined it would go on as long as it has.  Also just adjusting to having so little free time, that was a big change.   How many kids do you want? I think 2.  I don't think I could go through this all again more than once again!  I know it could be different but still.  ;)Dream vacation? Bora Bora!If you could move anywhere, where would it be and why? This is a hard question for me to answer because I know we are stuck here for life because of L's job.  i would say somewhere where it was a little warmer in the winter but still had seasons.  Not sure where that would be though! Biggest fear for Parker's future?  That something will happen to him.  I am a big worrier.  What is your favorite thing to do in your free time?  Photography, read, blog, watch shows on my dvr, take a bubble bath. Favorite food? Cheese!Favorite drink...alchoholic and non? Bud Light, and fair lemonade.
  • Favorite song right now? How to Love by Lil Wayne, I am kind of obsessed with it.  Favorite thing to do on a lazy Sunday?  I like to go grocery shopping, for some reason I find that really relaxing. Mostly because Lucas is home so he can help with Parker.  ;)  I also like to watch Pawn Stars or food shows on Food Network or the Travel channel and lay on the couch.  Would YOU eat a live octopus for $1,000? NO!
  • What is your beauty routine? You have gorgeous skin!

How did you chose Parker's name? Any close contenders?

What turns you on about your husband?

  • Favorite movie/book genre?  I am terrible at picking a favorite thing, but one of my favorite's is I Love You Man, oh and Old School.  I like funny movies.  My favorite books are usually Chick Lit.  Animal most representative of you?  A Monkey?  Because I am all over the place and am always trying to juggle way too many things, haha.  Favorite cartoon growing up? Doug!!  I always wanted to be Patty Mayonaise, I thought she was the coolest.
  • What do you like about living in Vermont and would you ever move? If so where and why?

I love that we live less than 20 minutes from the lake and less than 20 minutes from the ski slopes.  I love the seasons.  I love Burlington, it is such a great city.  I love that we have woods in our backyard.  I hate the long winters and that we don't have a Target.  We probably will never move because we are stuck here becuase of L's job but I would love somewhere where it didn't get quite so cold and snowy in the winter!

  • What is your beauty routine? You have gorgeous skin!Wow, thanks Jessica!  Mostly I owe it all to the powder I use, because my skin is actually kind of red and blotchy!  I use Tea Tree Oil face wash and Oil of Olay anti aging cream.  And every other day I use Neutrogena's benzoyl peroxide acne scrub.  I don't wear a lot of makeup(didn't before Parker either) but ALWAYS wear Jane Iredale Pure Pressed Base Mineral Foundation.  I have used it for years now it is totally makes my skin look even without being too much coverage.  How did you chose Parker's name? Any close contenders?  We went through the baby names book and it was one of the first ones we both said yes to, and it just stuck with us.  Honestly I am not sure what other names I really love, if we have another child I know we will have a tough time choosing!  What turns you on about your husband?  I hate that he plays golf all the time but I have to say, he looks super hot in his golf clothes, oh man.  It also turns me on when he helps a lot with Parker and has a great attitude about it, kind of sad but true!
  • Some of Parker's latest accomplishments? He is starting to say quite a few words and is understanding a lot more of what we say now.  He is crusing around and is a climbing machine.  He is becoming more open minded about drinking milk(well coconut and almond milk, he can't have WCM) from his straw cup, which feels like a huge accomplishment to me because I am currently working on weaning him during the day.  Most influential person in your life? My mom.  She has been through so much but was able to turn hard things into the positive.  She owned and ran a successful publishing company and then when she retired she completely gave her freetime to helping others, she is amazing.   Biggest regret in life?  I try not to regrets things because I feel like everything that happens helps get you where you are going, but I regret letting my dad(or the lack of his presence in my life) get to me for so long.  I am very thankful for counseling that helped me work through all this but it affected me for a long long time and in some ways still does.  Where do you see yourself in 5 years?  I would like to have another child in the next couple of years, we will probably still live where we live.  Parker will be about to enter 1st grade(wow!!) and probably our other child would be in preschool so I would like that my photography could be more of a full time thing by then.  I love family and children's portraiture and want to continue with that, especially babies and newborns.
