Crazy Job Interview questions

Stumbled on this...thought I would share ...I think Rachel would especially appreciate this.  I would be terrified if I got some of these Q's in an interview!!

Um, what? I'm confused now, I can't imagine the pressure of being asked those in an interview and then trying to sound intelligent!

How many cocktail umbrellas are there in a given time in the United States?
(I don't even understand wtf this means)

These are pretty typical in the science community (my DH got some of these questions when applying for google).  It's a game.  They want to test your logic under pressure.  They have no idea what the answers to these "how many" questions are, but they want to see how you tackle the problem.  If you just give up, that's bad.  If you instead explain your reasoning to come up with a totally crazy number, that's good (as long as your reasoning is good).
