What color would you paint

this wall?

We finally got our canvases hung but the room still needs something more.

The color of the couches is pretty accuate, it's an almost lemongrass kind of color.

I think brown is the obvious option, but I'm so tired of brown (all the furniture is that black/brown Ikea color)

Re: What color would you paint

  • I would do a soft, light gray like SW Anew Gray or BM Stonington Gray.  I like those two because they don't give off the "prison cell" vibe like a lot of grays out there, and they don't seem to have a purple undertone. I think it would look great with the pop of color from your couches.  Plus, I've been seeing lots of throw pillows, etc with gray and yellows that look awesome.

    Ditto this 100%.

We chose SW Anew Gray for our entry/dining/living room walls and I love it. Coincidentally enough our kitchen is yellow and the colors really compliment each other very well. I have a few pictures of our living and dining room, if you would like I can email some to you so you can see the color. Let me know.

  • funny you should say that since we did the girls' nursery in gray and yellow and have a bunch of paint leftover

  • I hadn't thought of gray but I do like that suggestion.  I liked your other friend's suggestion on FB of something that makes your girl's hair pop - a terra cotta.  But that might be just too funky for your taste.  I think the gray would blend better with the reminder of the nursery.  And you could easily sew coordinating pillows using some of the Amy Butler fabrics with all of those colors in them.
