Nook color

I am thinking about getting one for my husband I have the iPad 2. It seems like the nook does everything that the iPad does plus it has flash. Are they any disadvantages to the nook that I am not seeing?

I don't have a ipad (not a apple lover) but I do have a Nook color & LOVE IT. There are a few "disadvantages" between the to there are not that many apps (but that is growing every day) Also the inter sometimes goes funny (like I can't stroller on my emails, but that could be a odd setting on my nook I have not found yet) and the screen is smaller. I know you can hack it so it's using the full Android OP (the nook os is only using part of it) But I have not done that yet, but I do plan on doing it soon.

I just got one about 2 weeks ago and I really like it.

I found out that I can root it so I can use it as an Android Tablet but I don't think I will. Saving a few dollars on potential purchases through Amazon isn't work possibly messing up my Nook. I do worry that I'll mess it up so for now, I'm not going to root it.

I'd been thinking about getting a Nook color instead of an Android tablet (about $200 cheaper) but the keyboard is so tiny. I'm less interested in an e-reader, as opposed to a full tablet, so I'm not as easily convinced.
