New to the Nest, not-so-new to Winter Park
Hi! I'm Yelle. I've lived in Winter Park for three years now with my fiance. We got engaged recently so that is how I found The Knot, which led me to The Nest. I love everything about decorating, entertaining, and cooking, so the Nest is such a perfect place for me!

Re: New to the Nest, not-so-new to Winter Park
Wedding planning is going really well! So far it's a ways away it seems, but I'm surprised how many things book up so quickly! One advantage of a long engagement is we get first pick of venues, dates, caterers, photographers, etc!
How long did you live in NY? I was born in Staten Island, but grew up most of my life in Florida :]
Yep! That's definitely been the highlight of our planning as well. FH thought he'd be able to just walk in somewhere 6 months before and go 'This date, please, this room'. Haha, imagine his surprise when at 1 year and 6 months out, the date we wanted was all ready taken and we had to move out date a week back.
Born and Raised on Long Island, as was FH. I went away for about two years of my college education, he went away for his undergrad and returned for his grad work.
We decided we needed to relocate due to the condition of education in NY. He loves his new teaching position down here all ready, as well as Florida in general. I'm loving Florida, just have to find the right full time position for myself!
