Three Dopies

Still laughing about this from this weekend....

So my cousin Tom and his wife Sue have three Golden Retrievers.  Everyone in my family calls them "The Three Dopies" because they are just goofy, best friends, and are a riot to watch together.  Sue was saying a few weeks ago how all three of them have been sick pretty much the entire summer.  One of them caught mites and spread them to the others, ear infections, cellulitis, they are all on antibiotics, the list goes on.  Thousands of dollars have been spent on vet bills.

So, my mom decided to send the dogs a get well card addressed to The Three Dopies pretending like it's from our family dog, Jake, and threw some dog treats in the envelope.

Tom and Sue were down the cape with us this weekend and my mom asked if they ever got the card.  Sue says, no but it's funny you asked.  We got this really weird call from a US Postal Service worker asking us if we were expecting any packages.  We said no, but the guy insisted they were holding a package for us and just wanted to confirm if we were expecting it.  There was no return address.  So Tom was like, my wife and I are not missing anything and are not expecting any packages.  We can't claim a package if we don't even know where it was sent from.  And that was the end of it.

So Sue told us this and we're sitting around putting the pieces together.  A piece of mail addressed to three DOPIES must have been a red flag, and then there were random dog treats in the envelope!  I can only imagine they must have thought they were special hash cakes or concealing drugs or something LOLLLLL.  We were teasing Tom and Sue that their house is now under surveillance.
