Re: PG/Mom Check-In
Doing well so far. This morning I am juggling both kids by myself since DH got talked into taking a case at work. Jax is doing wonderful, he eats a ton. I am deciding to formula feed after this week just because I can't keep up with his demand AND I have a crazy 2.5 year old bouncing off the walls. Tell me not to feel guilty about it
Ava is adapting well. She pays attention to him when she wants to and it's so sweet. She tickles his feet and gives him hugs. She saw me pumping yesterday and said "that's gross, mommy". She kills me. Other than that I am totally in love with my little guy, his head smells soooo good. I love baby heads :-)
Kristina, Jax is soooo cute! What perfect children you two make!!!
I passed my glucose tolerance test, actually ended up hypoglycemic?? which i dont get because i have the biggest sweet tooth of all time! but instead of drinking that nasty glucola drink i ate 60 jelly bellys in under 5 min lol.. it was interesting..
in other news I just cant believe I am already in the 3rd trimester.. the amount of preparing we have to do is ridiculous- it seems like the due date is just sneaking up on us and i feel so not ready, hopefully this is normal for all first time moms and i can just stand on the "it will all come together in the end".. but im really starting to feel the pregnancy, i had no negative symptoms this whole time and all of a sudden the weight is packing on, my belly popped way out and is just getting in my way all the time, and i am so exhausted! but happy- and excited to find out if we are having a boy or a girl in the delivery room
My due date has officially moved up to 2/8/11 : ) We finally saw the baby when we went in for our NT scan last week. Still waiting for the results but are relieved that the LO looked good!
Thank you so much! Your little one is going to be perfect as well with parents as good looking as you two
I can't wait to see if you have a boy or a girl!
Hey girls! I'm doing well for the most part. My back is hurting, and like Kaley, I too have POPPED. I was getting comments like "wow, you're pregnant...doesn't look like it" to "WOW, where did that belly come from?!" I even got a "are you having twins?!" No b!tch, my little girl is growing! lol, people...
The nursery is coming together nicely (at least i think so). Just waiting on the chest, and we have to put up the rest of the decor and then we are pretty much done. What am I going to do with my time once the nursery is complete?!
I'm so ready for her to be here. 11 weeks, 5 days to go! (give or take...)
Things are crazy this week! We're moving to the suburbs on Saturday, so DH and I are trying to get everything packed and ready. I'm a bit nervous about such a big move, but I'm sooo happy to almost be done with the stairs! Plus we'll be able to start the nursery since we'll actually have a second bedroom.
We ordered the crib this weekend! I'm so excited to get it and set it up. I found a great deal thanks to my birth month board, so I'm happy I noticed the post and was able to get one.
And I fired my OB today. I make all my appointments for Monday when I'm off, so I wanted a doctor close to our new apartment. Plus I didn't really like my doctor and her office staff was rude as hell. I really hope I like the new place, but the receptionist was so sweet when I called to set up my first appointment for next week.
try more milkshake to see if that helps
haha i love that we have the same due date cause i was starting to get self conscious about the comments! i had the exact same experience.. people were like "you are sooo small for being x weeks pregnant" and now all of a sudden i get the "wow youre going to have a big baby huh!" im like uhh wheres the happy medium there! (thought i was the only one phew!)...
also im super jealous of your nursery progress... i was hoping you were on the same page with me there too but we have nothing.. no crib, no dresser, no chair, i mean the walls arent even painted yet!! we have our shower when im at 35 weeks and my husband wants to wait until after that to buy anything ourselves.. so ill basically have a month to prepare.. hope its enough!
We're doing well - baby girl is growing and getting stronger every day! I love to see her kicks, it cracks me up! We have assembled all the nursery furniture, painted her room and did her closet - it's all becoming real now! I have an appt next week to check on my placenta previa, I'm praying that my placenta has moved and I can be taken off of pelvic rest!!
Laney - it's funny you say that, I got asked by some random woman at Target the other day when I was due, when I told her she asked if I was having twins. I seriously wanted to smack her. I cannot believe how people lose their filters around pregnant women!
Zoe is doing great! I love this little girl! Her gum was bleeding a little the other night so I thought we might be able to see a tooth by now, but nothing yet. I took her to the eye doctor yesterday and besides a couple seconds of whining, she was so good. I was so nervous!
This is kind of BR, but H and I are having a rough time. Its been quite an adjustment having Zoe and we aren't adapting as well as I had hoped. Right now I kind of feel like roommates.
We need a date night or 10. I am finally getting to the point where I might be able to leave Zoe with one of my coworkers. We'll see!
Just know that you aren't alone. Having a baby is stressful for even the best relationships.
It was in the middle of an argument that H and I booked a 3 night cruise, sans kiddos! It was great...no regrets. Try to get a date night. Zoe is important, but she wouldn't even be here if you and H hadn't fallen in love. Don't forget that!!
