I have now had TWO interviews for pt positions at stores that did NOT read my application to see I'm not available on Saturdays, only to be told once I'm in the interview that they won't hire people that aren't available on Saturdays!

WHAT.THE.FRAK.

Do people not read applications normally? And I have wide open availability EVERY OTHER DAY OF THE WEEK, but they still won't hire me?

I am getting mad. And annoyed that people keep wasting my time.

The Humane Society is hiring a receptionist, not sure about their requirement for Saturdays though...

I've interviewed 100's of people in my lifetime for retail. A lot of times we will call you in because many times even though someone says NA on a particular day usually once in the interview they will change their availability. Plus if you can't work Saturdays I would never hire you. I totally understand your other obligations but retail companies dont care. What are you looking for? Nights or will you be going back to work during the day?

Totally off topic but I was looking at one of my fb friends wedding photos and I see someone in the background and I was like "hey I know him". It was your hubby! It was a local photographers wedding that you shot. Amazing pictures by the way!!!

I think you will have to find a job that isn't open saturdays =0(  It would be hard for a new person to get in retail w/ the request to not work a saturday.  What about a camera store? I mean I'm sure they are open saturdays but it wouldn't be like normal retail store so may be more understanding for hours, maybe you could get in one and convince them into you teaching photo classes too...
