Broadway Shows?

DH and I are planning our trip to NYC in the fall and we'd like to see a show.

Have any of you seen anything lately that was great?

Re: Broadway Shows?

  • I haven't seen it yet, but I have the soundtrack and it's great, so I would recommend seeing Book of Mormon. Wicked, The Lion King, and Mary Poppins are all good shows and very fun to watch. Rock of Ages is really fun show too, with awesome 80s songs and the ability to drink alcohol during the show. Avenue Q is also an amazing show if you haven't seen it. Those are the ones I have seen that are still on Broadway. Hair is supposed to be good too, according to a friend who is in it.

  • I haven't seen Book of Mormon yet either, but have heard great things.

I also highly recommend Wicked.  I've seen a lot of Andrew Lloyd Webber shows and really enjoyed all of those as well.

I wanna see Book of Mormon (track is SO good), Wicked, I'd love to see Jonathan Groff and Lea Michelle go back and do spring awakening......hmmm idk what else is running right now/in the fall....My friend Matt is running lights for the Tour of "The Adams Family" so I'm hoping to see that when he comes to town <3

  • Ave Q is hysterical!!!!  It was perfect for DH since he's not really a musical guy but he loved it.  I also vote for all the others-- Rock of Ages, Book of Mormon and Wicked.  Get your tickets early!!
