Someone egged my car

Today is the first day I've driven the car since before we went on vacation, so it could have happened any time in the past 10 days. Angry  Luckily I got a lot off over lunch with paper towels and Palmolive, but I hope there's no permanent damage to the paint if I can't get to a car wash 'til the weekend.  If only it hadn't *just* occurred to me that as soon as I noticed this morning I should have gotten DD out of the car and switched keys with DH so he could get it taken care of on his day off...

Yet another reason why I wish we had a wider driveway so neither of us has to park on the street.  The same thing happened to DH just a few years ago when he was the one parking in the street.

  • Oh no! That's horrible! I'm so sorry. Who the hell does that????

  • How obnoxious! I hope it all comes off without damage. I'm sure it was just some stupid kid, but man - I hate stupid kids!
  • That sucks!

Did it happen to any of your neighbors?  Did you ask them if they saw anyone?

  • What what? That royally blows.

  • Stupid kids. Get off my lawn!

Srsly. Eggs aren't even cheap. Where are these kids getting the money, and who taught them this was fun?

    Ugh. when does school start?

  • and also? some arsehat down the street from me drove by John's truck (parked on the street) and ripped off his sideview mirror -- and kept going! it had to be another big truckor SUV, bc John has an F150 truck so that mirror is up high. we found the mirror on our neighbor's sidewalk, so either someone threw it up there from the street, or that was some forece with which it was hit. $250 later (not as bad as it could have been, but still, MY 4250, not theirs....), and he wants to park on teh driveway, too. I said he could, if he got up every day at 6:45 to move it so I could get my car out of the garage. He's parked on the street.

  • The neighbors closest to us don't park in the street, and I don't know if I have the time or energy to poll the others - it's a long block on a long street with a lot of through traffic...  Grr.

I have no idea when school starts, but it can't be soon enough.
