1.) What stores/brand carries jeans that either are adjustable waist band or has a small waist and long legs. G needs 18month length, but 12 month waist.
2.) G just started wearing size 4 shoes, but they are just perfect on her feet. We'd like to get her one nice pair of shoes for this fall (thinking the baby toms :-)). I was thinking maybe I should get her size 5, since she is a perfect 4 and she can grow into them a bit. But will wearing a size big make it harder for her to walk/run. She's been walking a couple months and does well, but I'd hate to make it harder for her!

Re: Clothing Question
I might be wrong but I've kind of found that the adjustable waists don't really start until 2T. I like Old Navy and Target for the adjustables.
Def go for the larger size shoes. In getting the girls sized I realized that they should be bigger than what I thought would fit. That and at this age they grow superfast.
(as far as feet go anyway) That and she'll have socks on.
JC Penny's for the pants! My oldest nephew was the same way! I think they have the little adjustables, I want to say it's their OkeyDokey Brand? Or The Arazona brand.
El has tiny feet, she's 16mths and a size 3 fits perfect! I think it also depends on the brand, so try them and if a 5fits maybe get a 6? or which ever. And MrsReem makes a good point about socks it'll be getting chillier soon. HOPEFULLY!
I have not seen adjustable waist pants in any size 12-24 months. They have elastic, but not the tabs.
Definitely buy a size bigger for shoes. You will be surprised how fast they will grow!
1. Nicholas wore the elastic-waist jeans from Circo last winter. I haven't seen them out yet, so I hope they have them this year. I have yet to find a pair of jeans that's long enough for him for this fall. Everything we've tried on so far in 2T is too big in the waist and way too short
2. If she's walking well, I'd go up a size. I've always tried Nicholas in a size bigger in the store and if he doesn't trip himself, that's what I buy. He's slowing down in the feet dept for now, thank goodness!
We live and die by Little Miss Attitude jeans for Ella because they are adjusable waist. I know they have them for 12 months and maybe even smaller. We have the same problem as E is a peanut in weight but has super long legs and they work great! I think we have every style/wash in each size of jeans
Edit: Duh- we get them at Younkers!
