I think I am getting the end of summer blues. I am happy to have the students back but I am feeling pretty blah about summer coming to an end. Even though the weather is still unbearably hot it just doesn?t feel the same.
So to combat the ?End of Summer Blues? I went to two Zumba classes back to back. HAA I figured that if I danced around long enough to some fabulous Latin music I could pretend I was on an island somewhere.
Some people work out like crazy to get ready for bathing suit season. I guess I am now working on ?jeans season.?
Re: End of Summer blues
I'm almost at the end of summer blues. We go back to school in about 2 weeks to set up classrooms. I'm trying to remember that in January I won't have a job so to be happy to go back :-) It's not really working!!
Did Zumba get you out of the blues for a little? If you have a Wii, you could get Just Dance. It's fun!
The Zumba classes did help! I was one of this kids that was always moving and running around. My mom put me in a dance class really early on so I have always loved it.
I don't have a Wii but I might have to consider since Just Dance sounds really fun!!
I will be there in a little while and dread the feeling.
Add me to the "Ready for Summer to be Over" list. I hate Summer. Fall is the best, followed closely with East Coast Springtime.
But at least I am not in Oklahoma where they haven't had a day below 100 degrees since June. Makes me sad for our friends who are still there.
I could not do this. We have had a wonderfully mild Summer this year ::knocks on wooden coffee table:: and I've been lucky enough to leave the house open and enjoying the delta breeze. Lovely.
If you liked spring, you're going to love Fall. It's fantastic and my favorite season here.
Regardless of ready for fall or not, exercise is fabulous for your body, but also your mind. My psychiatrist is on me to get into an exercise routine for the many, many benefits.
Yeah...summer around here has SUCKED this year. Not only has the number of 100+ days a little crazy right now [I lost count after 35...we had a day below 100 two weeks ago, but my hometown is on 50+ days of 100+ temps], but it's not just that it hits 100. It hits 105, 110, even 113. I hate it.
And poor DS - his daycare stopped letting the kids have water play and go outside weeks ago because it's just too hot for them. He's been going stir crazy having to be cooped up inside. I just hope we're not into the 100s as we get through September and closer to October...
Zumba classes are so fun and such a good work out. I try to go at least twice a week, but I haven't gone in a week now.
I guess I'm also on the opposite. I can't wait for summer to end mainly because H will be coming home soon from Japan and we can get on with our PCS. Also because the heat here is so unbearable, we are in the 100s everyday. I hate to be out since it's so hot outside.
Don't get me wrong, I am ready for the heat to break. I am just not ready to get back onto a set schedule. Things around here are very relaxed in the summer since the students are not here.
I guess this summer I have been spoiled with too much fun and I hate to see that end.
Fall usually gets here in October. Though, there are some years when we can still go to the beach through November. It's much nicer though because all the tourists are gone and you don't sweat your tittays off. We should start hitting the 80's by the begining of Sept.
I'm ready for fall. Like I said, we can go to the beach or pool and not have tourists every where. We also don't have all these crazy summer storms and the gnats and mosquitos start to go away. Plus, FOOTBALL!! My son is playing middle school football this year and I'm so excited to see him play. That means I have games to watch from Thursdays to Mondays with MS, HS, NCAA and NFL. Heck yeah!
